I can answer that. Because it is easier to believe in someone who has no power over you, than to believe in someone who does. What do you think?

I think it is because there is more physical evidence of evil in the world than good, and most people rely on physical evidence.

God created Satan as an ArchAngel called Lucifer-"Light--Bringer"...He rebelled against GOD and has been to this day! But take heart.Soon,ALL will know GOD because He is allowing us to go our own way until we reach the end of our rope! THEN we will realize that Satan's way of SELFISHNESS will NOT work! GOD will intervene by FORCE and REMOVE Satan from his evil work of BLINDING MANKIND from the Truth! If Satan seems more real,it is because most do his bidding for him! They do NOT want GOD in their life! And if they SAY they do,it has to be on their terms! But as I said, when it becomes so bad,and Nuclear War breaks out--then we will cry out to our loving Creator! There will be no scoffing then! So sad that it has to go that far. But sometimes correction of a severe nature is all God has to WAKE US UP!!! Satan is NOT here to help you! His very name now means "Destroyer"--for that is what he does!--At least, for now.

Or maybe God invented Satan? (the person)

There is good in this world, although it can be difficult to see past the negative. It is usually easier to spot the negative in anything, but if you look hard enough and maintain a positive attitude, you will see the good. Hope is an incredible thing.

i think your a little off. i believe in neither (i am an atheist), but i used to be catholic. when i started loosing faith (as i was paying attention to the suffering in the world) i believed in satan longer than i believed in god. but i didnt worship him, and i didnt see him as evil. i saw him as not pure evil, but like a truck load of fleas or mosquitoes. just really, really bad.

if there is a god and satan, i would assume satan has more control. i havent prayed for a very long time, so i cant remember a lot, but dont a lot of prayers say things like "save us from satans grasp."? well, if you go by those, it would seem satan has the control, and god has some saving to do.

christains also say that evil doings are committed by satan and good doings are committed by god. well, i see a lot more evil here than good. the good things may be more in number, but the evil things have a greater impact. do this, in your head name off as many wars, murders, rapes, famines, diseases, genocides, natural disasters, and as many other bad things as you can. those are what satan would do, right? now name off every good thing that you see, which would be gods doing. now, the good may be more in number, like i mentioned, but how do they stack up against bad things in terms of impact or scale of affect.

hope, simultaneously humanitys biggest asset and its biggest fault.
i hope i helped

I think there aren't any people who believe in Satan who don't also believe in a god.

Because it is easier to do bad then to do Good.people are weak so Satan can take over them.you would think they would want to believe in God that is loving and kind then some that is wicked and makes your life a living misery.

I agree with spamandham, who believes in Satan and not in god? If there are any people that do that, their numbers are extremely low.

People who believe IN satan believe that there is a God, but they don't believe IN God. For example, the anti Christ... they believe that there is a Christ but they don't believe IN the Christ. Hence why they're called the antiCHRIST.. well this is just my opinion, and no one has to agree. = )

I am wondering who the people are that you mentioned. Most everyone I have met believe in God and the Angels He created.

In respond to allot of these answers. How about you just die?I mean it'll be more then enough proof right?Besides if it annoys people so much then why not just put an end to this and die your self so you wont have to deal with it anymore?Like I said it's enough proof for those who die because then they'll be able to see whats real and whats not.Im sure this will annoy many of you and will have many calling me all these names.

And what is there not to believe in one so close and present...so integral to all that is near...that shares your deepest thoughts and desires and creates the flame in your motivations...would yoiu deny that this is truth ? And One seperate and apart removed and cloaked in mysteries ruling by texts and rantings denier of wonderings and passion...giver of choices and judge once it's done.........
