You can tell the mid-term elections are approaching. The draft scare tactic didn't work for the Democrats in 2004, guess they're setting themselves up for another loss...

The penalty for dodging the Draft (If Caught and Convicted) is a all expense paid vacation to a federal penal facility...

Unless You have a Very Good excuse it can lead up to jail..

Right Now by NOT registering ..You won't be able to Apply for Federal student Loans, Free Financial assistant for College (Pell) nor a Federal Employment....or Any Federal Program that has registering with the Military as a Requirement.

There will not be a draft as the military is better off with a smaller professional army than a load of stoners who want to go home to mummy.

During Vietnam, they put war resisters in jail.

Those that went to Canada eventually received amnesty.

And for people's veiled references to Clinton being a draft dodger, note that he had a student deferment--as did Dick Cheney.

Ask George Bush, he went A.W.O.L when he found out he might actually have to go to Nam and fight Charlie.
How about Rush Limbaugh? He got out claiming he had a sore on his ***,
Try Trent Lott. He actually got out for ACNE!
Then theres Pat Buchanan. He got out claiming he had a knee injury (although he's an avid jogger to this day, pretty good I hear)
Dick Cheney got five deferments.

All these nut cases were all gung ho for war with Iraq just as long as they didn't have to fight it.

Chances are, there won't be a draft, unless the Democrats take over the Oval Office.

If you are afraid of serving this country, Canada has open arms for you.

If we have another President like Jimmy Carter nothing will happen. You'll be pardoned and treated like a hero.
