Ok my dates coming over in an hour. I Decided to cook a special meal for her. Basically I get 2 raw liver and mince it up ( I keep it Raw) and then I mix it with powdered sugar untill it draws all the moisture. I add 1 cup wheat germ and slowly mix it with the liver and put it in a frying pan. I blend 1 pig foot in a mixer and serve the sauce on top of the liver goodies. Shes really picky about food and I hope I did well. This is a belgium dish my neighbor taught me

Ok I don't know what country you're in, but if she's picky, I doubt she likes liver...second, I've never heard of putting powdered sugar on ANYTHING to draw out moisture. Salt works....

She is picky about food and you were going to serve her something with a pig's foot? Maybe you should grab some serious fruit and make it a romantic evening with flowers as well... and see if maybe for protein you can find something like california rolls, sushi or sashimi with chopsticks. It's ethnic, yet romantic when trying to feed one another. Good luck!

Ummm... I think you should have asked her first if this is a surprise, as 99% sure she will be a bit picky with that dish! I have a feeling you are pulling our leg, or should I say foot? How about surprising her with dinner out instead? Good luck in any case!

DID you cook ANYTHING?

I am not sure, but if this girl is not belgian she may not go for the high possibility of food poisoning that accompanies this dish.

One way to fix any bad meat meal is to sort of stir fry it mangolian style with teriyaki sauce...in my experience it doesn't matter what the ingredients are and it always tastes good.

well peace out.

Yikes!

Quick... set the table as romantically as you possibly can... linens, nice dishes, flowers, candles.... put on the most romantic music you can find.... and then THROW THAT GARBAGE AWAY and call out for chinese! Fess up when your date arrives... tell her you tried to cook her something special but you decided it was not worthy of her... look sheepish and embarrassed... and you will be fine. She will think it is cute, and will be delighted that you tried so hard to impress her.

Good luck.

With only 1 hour to go, do not take any chances :
If your Belgian neighbour is free, ask him/her to help you with salvaging your culinary handiwork... If possible !?!
Or, better still, order a 5-course meal for two, from your friendly neighbourhood Belgian restaurant ! Your date will love that.
...Problem solved !

next time, go with something simple like chicken breasts, mashed potatoes and corn, lol. I'm pretty sure there's no way to save that meal (?)

I would suggest you order something, because that meal you prepared does not sound too appealing. She might not like it
