It seem irony on one hand, the INS suppose to deport undocumented workers, and one the other hand IRS give them TIN to report income.

They are going to get money somehow..the IRS can get blood out of a turnip. If you put "THE" and "IRS" together it spells out who truely owns your money..."THEIRS" lol.

They should not require any illegals to pay taxes, since they aren't allowed to work here in the first place!! The identity theft and fraud have got to go. It is really sickening. If an American citizen stole someone else's SS# and used it, or forged their signature, or used someone else's credit card or any other fraudulent activity, the book would be thrown at them. We, American citizens, would not be able to give any "excuses" for why it was necessary to use fake numbers/IDs and get us off the hook. As for confiscating all of those tax returns from the preparer, I think that he was wrong in doing that. If we continue down that road, and that kind of thing becomes a precedent, then people will be able to go into everyone's tax returns and accounts just because of one suspicious person. Big Brother here we come...

It is for foreign workers. Illegals are not the only foreigners with US source income.

I don't get it. People are soooooooooooo stupid... If the illegals DON'T pay their taxes people complain. So, they are given ITIN numbers so they can pay their taxes... And you people still not happy???

HELLO!! THEY DO THIS SO THEY CAN PAY THEIR TAXES!!! CONTRARY TO WHAT PEOPLE THINK ILLEGALS PAY TAXES THE ONLY THING BEING THEY CANNOT GET A REFUND IF THEY ARE OWED ONE. SO IN REALITY THEY PAY MORE TAXES THAN YOU!!
