First of all you are still very young and losing wait now will be much easier then when you are older. I have had the same problems with my husband in the past and though I am not sure of your situation I know that my husband didn't mean it he only wanted to hurt me during a fight. 170 at 5'4 isn't so bad, I read your other question and with that diet you WILL lose weight but you will HAVE to stick to it and make exercise a part of your daily life for the rest of your life other wise you will lose the weight and then gain it all back plus more and it will be a never ending cycle. Most people would tell you diet and exercise more. Well I've got a way you can lose 40 pounds in 2 months. Want to know why! 1. Set Up Realistic Weight Loss Goals. Don't set a weird goal like 10 pound a day no. 2. Drink Plenty of Water. Drink about 6-8 glass of water per day. 3. Chew More Slowly when You Eat. If you eat 5 smaller a day you will accomplish your goal, but pleas don't eat three enormous meal. That would actual get you fatter. 4. Exercise at least 30 minuets per day. Pleas stay away from pills they could kill you, some pills could help but there is a few that do help. If you follow this correctly you will achieve your weight goal.

Honestly diet and exercise are the safest and most effective ways to lose weight. The slower you lose weight, the more likely you are to keep it off in the long run. 1 to 2 pounds a week is the healthy amount to lose. And while that may not be encouraging by itself, stay on your plan for 5 weeks and you will already have lost about 10 pounds.

If you're husband really tells you you're ugly, then I sure hope it's not HIM you want to lose weight for! First, LEAVE the louse, the stress of living with an emotionally abusive man can drive you to emotional over-eating. Next, if you truly do need to lose weight, exercise. Don't start with the impossible, start small and work your way up. If it's something you enjoy (maybe swimming, a favourite sport, hiking...), it will feel more like play than exercise, and you'll be more likely to stick with it. Finally, eat for good health, eat mindfully (savour every bite...you will be satisfied sooner!), and stop eating to satisfy emotional needs. Find other things to do that soothe, distract or cheer you up, besides eating. You really CAN do it!

There are no shortcuts.
First a healthy diet. Maximum green vegetables and totally avoid red meat if you can. Fish is a good alternative.
No snacks between meals.
Brisk walk/jog for an hour preferably in the morning before breakfast.
Learn yoga exercises which are quite easy.

Sorry. It is not healthy to loose weight rapidly, and bad health does not look good on anyone.
The best route to weight loss is: smaller portions, more vegetables and fruit, exercise 20-40 minutes moderate-difficult intensity.
