When does a guy that you like become your boyfriend?

I like this one guy and he likes me too. When does he "officially" become my boyfriend? Should there be some things that we need to do before I can call him my boyfriend?

Certain things may change. see how he introduces you to people. Sometimes you may need to talk about it actually ask him where u guys stand. Me and my ex bf were friends for 3 years and after a while we started seeming more like a couple. I spent time with his family, he took me to meet all of his friends, he started paying more attention to me. Eventually i just said since we seem like a couple we should become one and he agreed. But dont rush things. Thats what i did and we are now over. You have to wait til it feels right.

First of all, dating is just a title and you should not be concerned about it being official or unofficial. As long as you have a good time together, that's all that should matter.

Sometimes people aren't certain they want to be in a "relationship". Just because you like each other doesn't mean that your has to progress to being boyfriend/ girlfriend.

If you both want that, then generally, going on a few consecutive dates would constitute being able to call him your boyfriend if he feels the same way.

You should have the understanding that you are dating mutual exclusively -- that awkward talk about only seeing each other. Without that understanding, you are merely dating, free to see others even if you choose not to.

If he refers to you as his girlfriend in public then it is okay to refer to him as your boyfriend. Then that will probably lead to that awkward talk I referred to earlier.

ask him out.
