I want to be a boxer. The thing is that I dont know a darn thing. All I know is that it takes a lot of working out. Could you suggest what I could do to become a boxer like workouts or something? That would be a lot of help.

Find a boxing gym in your hometown. They'll get you trained up.

Running, swimming, cycling and good diet are the main things to start. There are a lot of exercise videos that teach boxing if you do a search under Yahoo.com for boxing videos you should find heaps of stuff to help you and sometimes also on ebay. If you can, practice real sparring in a real boxing ring as often as you can with someone who is much better than you who is not out to hurt you but who will train you and show you how to improve. Also make sure that you have a mouth guard, wraps (or inner liners for your gloves) and you must get strong head gear. And always keep your hands up!

Watch a lot of video of opponents. Work your butt off in the gym. Do plenty of road work, (running). If you don't have knock out power, do serious work on the bag with your jab. Furthermore, when you jab, make sure your shoulder ends up in front of your chin every time you throw the jab punch. It gives you great protection while throwing a devastating punch, if it is done over and over again, a great jab is unbeatable.
