In 50 years time all global conflicts will be resolved through Private Military Companies rather than large and expensive national armies. Its just the privatisation of war for good economic reasons.

This is nothing new. prior to the last century most wars consisted of mercenaries.

The Redcoats who fought the colonials in the american war of independence for instance, were largely German (Prussian) mercenaries with British officers because the British Army was busy fighting the French.

It is only in the late 1800's and the 20th century that the idea of national armies has really taken root.

And yes is the answer to your question. In terms of military strength the PMC's in Iraq are now second only to the U.S forces.

They are made up of the best of U.S and British soldiers (often special forces) who are leaving the regular forces as fast as they can in order to go back to Iraq on 1,000 dollars a day (for the really good ones).

They are doing everything from installation protection to bodyguarding and convoy protection and they are well equipped and generally very very good.

There are of course the usual smattering of ex night club bouncers and car park security guards out there who think that big biceps and a crew cut makes them Arnie, but they either end up dead or scared witless very quickly.

The proper PMC's like Blackwater or Executive Outcomes only hire proper soldiers with the right background.

Yes, you can call them security contractors or whatever you want but, the answer is yes. Any yes, I agree with it. The answer to both of those, or exmplaination, is that they do not have to follow certain orders that the military do.
Example:
You see a very suspecious guy. The military has to make proper assessments and get permission to engage.
Contractors do not, they do not fall under the same rules of engagements. They do however abuse this often and have been under increased scrutiny for it as well.

Yes we are using private security companies to secure some areas. One example of such a company is Blackwater USA, an entirely legitimate company that hires and deploys only ex-military soldiers. They follow the rules, they are not used for salughtering terrorists, merely they secure certain areas.

There are Private Security companies over there that I call "Mercenaries" but they are not real Mercenaries, They secure sites or people and have only defensive capabilities.

I have no problem with it.

No that is not true. A mercenary can be bought off. Therefore if the U.S. were to use that tactic the terrorists would just pay them more.

Do you believe everything you read on the internet?

If the US was in favor of such behavior - would Marines from Pendleton be facing the death penalty for their 'ruthlessness'?
