No, because you really shouldn't have told the white lie in the first place. There's almost always a way to be tactful and spare peoples' feelings without lying- that's what good manners are for, after all.

A lie is a lie, no matter if it is 'white' or 'black'. Problem is when we start with one, we got to use many others to cover it up. Looking at the answers here, all agreed that lying is not good (ethical reasons?), but the truth is in practice, most of us lie.

a white lie can be OK in some situations. i.e.; saying "u look like you're feeling better today" to someone who is ill and is getting worse. However saying white lies to get u out of trouble will build up with more lies and create a huge hole u cant get out of. Be careful

If you lie one time then you will just keep lying. There no need to lie in the first place. The truth will set you free. the answer is no.

A white lie is still a lie, each person's definition of "white lie" differs. Lying in wrong in all scenses.

oh what a tangled web we weave when at first we practice to deceive. This means once you tell one lie you are going to have to tell many more and sooner or later you will be caught, no you are not justified.

No, they just grow bigger and bigger, you can maintain the charade of one cover, trying to remember the 10 other lies to cover the first.
