You can qualify for Medicaid if you don't have kids. Look into food stamps as well. There could be some other programs to help you pay your recent medical bills, especially hospital bills. Virginia has a program called "State and Local Hospitalization" that helps people who have hospital bills. I didn't have insurance at the time, so I don't know if that was a requirement. Social Services will be able to help you.

Based on your income. If your medical expenses are going to be a hardship on you and your family the state should pay what you can't. Medicaide is usually available for catistrophic illnesses. I will pray for a speedy recovery for you and that you get the financial help you need. Keep hangin in there. I have beat cancer three times. Keep a positive attitude and know you are stronger than the cancer is. Do whatever your doctor suggests and you will probably be in remission in no time. I will send out my angels to watch over you. If you would like someone to talk to, tell me how I can securely get your email and send you mine and I will be glad to write to you again. Please let me know how you are doing.

If you have short term and long term disability you can apply for that while you are getting your treatments, and if you fall within the federal and state guidlines in income you can qualify for medicaid. you need to prove your income has decreased or stopped all together, bring in all of your medical bills they will only go back 3 months. Seek support from your local cancer society and they may have information in your area on how to get assistance. If you cannot afford medication call 18004-PPA-NOW
this non for profit organization helps in getting medication to people in need and unable to afford their medications.
Good Luck and God Bless

Yes. How you get the Medical assistance depends on whether you have insurance through your job, how much you make, how much you have in the bank etc. Every hospital has social workers. When you go for treatment ask for a social worker and they will help you navigate the system and see what you qualify for. They may not offer you a social worker, but if you ask they will provide one and they will help.

You can try to qualify for medicaid but if you don't have kids I think they may not give it to you. I would apply they can only tell you yes or no. Sorry about your cancer. Try to apply for Special Transit. If you have a city bus company they should have a cab-like service for disabled and people that are temporarily disabled. They can give you rides for about 1.00 so you don't have to pay for an expensive taxi or waste time on the bus.

Making dietary changes is your first line of defense in treating hypothyroidism. Learn here https://tr.im/i3PXG

Many people with hypothyroidism experience crippling fatigue and brain fog, which prompts reaching for non-nutritional forms of energy like sugar and caffeine. I’ve dubbed these rascals the terrible twosome, as they can burn out your thyroid (and destabilize blood sugar).

1. Just say no to the dietary bungee cord. Greatly reduce or eliminate caffeine and sugar, including refined carbohydrates like flour, which the body treats like sugar. Make grain-based carbohydrates lesser of a focus, eating non-starchy vegetables to your heart’s content.

2. Up the protein. Protein transports thyroid hormone to all your tissues and enjoying it at each meal can help normalize thyroid function. Proteins include nuts and nut butters; quinoa; hormone- and antibiotic-free animal products (organic, grass-fed meats, eggs, and sustainably-farmed fish); and legumes.
