You no doubt have heard about drugs like Propecia, Avacor, and Rogaine. If you are experiencing a problem, have a bad gene pool, etc., you may want to check them out.

Note that if your hair suddenly stops growing, this can be a sign of liver or kidney problems, or a thyroid problem ... if this is your situation, you might want to get checked out.

Hair is made up of a protein called keratin. Each shaft of hair is made of two or three inter-twined layers of keratin which grow from a follicle beneath the skin.

Interestingly, hair grows more quickly in the summer. Some say in winter time, it can help your hair if you are conscientious about keeping your head warm.

To promote hair growth, you need to make sure your food intake is nutritionally sound, and especially be sure it includes sufficient protein. If your body does not have enough protein and a supply of a basic array of vitamins and minerals, it doesn't have what it needs to make hair. That's why people who are severely malnourished are often bald or nearly so.

Well you can do lots of things but remember the same things don’t work for everyone. Eat protein since hair is made from it, massage your scalp every night and drink enough water a day. You can take vitamin E supplements for healthy skin, hair and nails. Some people take Biotin and that seems to help. Try using avocado and banana hair masks once a week, that made my hair grow. I also use a product called pro naturals moroccan argan oil after each shower and it helps a lot. It’s a heat protectant too. You can get some online. Oh and get trims, just little ones at a time a few months apart so you don’t get split ends.

use mane and tail shampoo (used for animals and humans) --- cut ends of hair slightly every so often ---- after washing hair always blow dry hair---- use rubber bands to pull back hair (not news paper type) the pull of the hair will promote growth..... good luck
