because of all the preservatives they put in them to keep them fresh

Well, I have never tasted every single store bought cookie that is made today, so I wouldn't know. My guess is you haven't either.

Go to a health food store. There is a reason they taste that way. I will say no more, but you get the picture.

If you are sensitive to the flavor of preservative, buy recently made cookies, might be in a different store .
You might also be reacting to the plastic wrapping.

because they probably were you should make your own they tast much better
