No one here can help you. There is just not enough information for anyone to make a clear determination. Besides, her life is too important to rely on the lay opinions of anonymous people on the internet.
Suggest to your boyfriend that he and the child's mother bring the little girl to see a medical professional. They will be able to determine if she's causing herself to vomit (there are tell tale signs). It's important that they show her support as a family. It could be a medical reaction, could be from the stress of her parents not being together . . . the list could go on. It's worth them looking into it.

You have to identify whether this is happening after your relationship or this has been happening right throughout. Also don't forget that the little one can be very emotional. So the best thing is to go and see a doctor (therapy) I think both of you also have to contribute a lot in getting her back to normal. Don't be upset but act promptly.

My kids try to do the same thing. They do use the bathroom as an excuse to get out of eating. Remember their stomachs are not that big, and cannot contain too much inside. Don't over feed her or force feed her. That's the worse thing you can do. This causes obeseity in children now adays.

I would ask her about it and see how she responds, but I would also be planning to take her to the doctor. This doesn't sound normal at all. 7-years-old? How sad that she could already have developed an eating disorder at such a young age. Does she live with her mother? Have you asked her about this?

It could be a phase, but one to be concerened with. She may nort realize (at 7 yrs old) what she is doing. It may be a response to something going on in her life (a change she is not dealing with, bullying, abuse) that is causing her anxiety and this is how she deals with it. Your boyfriend should take this seriously.

A lot of young children try to get out of eating. Anyway they can. A doctor once told me that if you don't pressure them, they will usually eat when hungry.

Sounds like a problem to me. I would talk to her, if she won't talk to you about it you might need some pro. help.
Don't let it go, I had a problem when I was younger and it wasn't till my boss at the time called my parents I realized how stupid it was to be doing what I was doing!
