Thanks, I feel better now. I was wondering if I had become too prudish, because I most certainly would not allow my children on here.

Thanks Maat, I'll go to my room now. (good One)

I'd give 10 points to you all if I could!

As a mother of a soon to be 11 year old, my answer is NO! Sadly enough, the internet is not only used by 11 year olds but by those sad individuals that prey on kids this young. A parent can not keep their child safe from all ill in the world but they can keep them safe from cyber fools.

I would not allow my kids on the Internet unsupervised period. On this site there has been a problem with a pervert asking questions about kids. I would hate to think that a child even read the questions he has posted. I just would be too frightened to take the chance. I know it's really sad that we have to worry so but, better be safe than sorry.

Absolutely not! I think it is our job as parents to watch and see what our kids are doing and make the guidelines, rules for them to live by. They aren't going to like it, it gets even harder as they get into their teen years. Then they think they know all, and should be allowed to go on any site, etc. Again, it is not a popularity contest! It is a job to be a good, involved parent and a part of that is caring about what your kids do!!! Be involved and stay involved...........then when those roots are firmly planted, the foundation is there, you let them have the wings and let them grow as then they'll know right from wrong, good from evil........happy parenting!!! Toughest job on this Earth but have to say, most rewarding!!! Good luck! Be strong! : )

No, I wouldn't. I'm not a parent but I don't believe the content on this forum is for someone of that age. It can get quite raunchy on here, at times, and would only confuse someone so young.

Absolutely not. Read these questions and answers, they can give a child an entire world of knowledge to choose from and maybe not what you have hoped for. I say NO.

If I had kids, and that's a big freaking IF, I wouldn't allow him/her near the Internet.

There are lots of free parental Internet safety tools out there. Many of them are free, just google it.

I wouldn't but apparently some parents are 'too busy' to supervise their kids. That's why you'll read about a pregnant 13yo here.
