Parents who let their daughters walk around in clothes that practically scream "DO ME!" (no, I'm not kidding, why do you think we have so many pedophiles in our day and age?) are in one of three categories: either they don't care enough about their kids, they don't know that their kid is dressed like that (because they weren't there when the kid bought the clothes and the kid changes into it once they're out of the house), or they honestly have just given up because nothing they do keeps that child from walking out of the house dressed like... you know. The kids do this thinking it will attract guys... and it does. Just not the RIGHT kind of guys. To be honest? I'm 19 years old. If I can't respect the young woman I'm dating, why should I bother dating her? All my girlfriends in the past have dressed respectfully no matter what the occasion. Parents need to do whatever they can to keep their little girls from getting away with dressing like that.

I have no IDEA; why would you want your daughter, especially a young teen to walk around looking like a billboard saying "here it is, come get it" I have no respect for the parent or the girl...as a parent of a daughter who NEVER dressed like that, or even wanted to I am struggling majorly with this....in other parents! Especially the ones who buy them these clothes and those who think it's okay because others do it...makes me sick!

some don't realize what their kids are wearing. some allow it out of pride in their child, although 'sleazy' is a pretty descriptive word. Your idea and mine might be different. If I could monitor the girls at local school, there would be a lot of them changing daily.

Some girls sneak out with something over the sleazy costume, then take it off. I think that's even worse! Moms, check your kids clothes before they leave the house! Don't you know there are pervs all over the place ogling your babies bodies?

Lack of parental authority in their self-esteems. It is better to let them do what they want rather than make a wave and have the teen hate them.

Sometimes, it is the "like mother, like daughter" thing, EWW. I think usually it means sneaking out outfits. My mom knew what was in my closet and if it didn't pass her standards, it was gone. My daughter gets the same rules.

Absence of good taste, or the lack of it.
Some parents, will allow almost anything for the peace and quiet of no long arguments over what their kids wear.

Well, they might just do the clothes over slutty clothes gig and their parents have no idea what they are really wearing! Kids are smarter and dumber than you think!
