It's an uncontrolled fire that often occurs in wildland areas, in which are also common in agricultural resources and in areas with human habitation. The main causes are lightning, human carelessness, and arson. Drought and the prevention of small forest fires are major contributors to extreme fires of this magnitude. They are also called bush fires in Australia.

actually there are controlled fires, used to clear brushes and stuff. I guess you can call it tame
