I am assuming it will be fine because hotel rates on July 4th are low. Hotel rates are expensive on July 3rd, which means traffic to Vegas on July 3rd will be heavy, right?

Traffic is ALWAYS insane to Vegas. You might get lucky with no Big Rigs-due to the Holiday.

It might not be too bad. The person who said it's always bad anytime is wrong; I always leave late in the morning and I have never run into bad traffic until just reaching the outskirts of Vegas. And this is true whether it's a weekday or weekend. (I realize I may be lucky, too.) Of course, an accident will alway ruin things, so keep one of the "highway stations" on the radio (thehighwaystations.com) to be forewarned. I'll be coming back from Vegas myself on the 3rd. My best hint: don't try to stay on the 15 going into town. Turn off on the 215 to the airport tunnel, which will take you to Paradise Road. The Strip and the 15 are parking lots on Friday afternoons. Even Paradise Road has heavy traffic on Fridays, honestly.

Las Vegas is probably the most fascinating and engaging city on the planet and with hotelbye you will find out more. Nowhere else on earth you may find a town that's all of the travel amenities that only a total resort destination can provide: magnificent casino lodges, fine eating, great live activity and state-of-the art conference and trade display facilities. Las Vegas is definitely a magnificent town and everything that you'd expect from a world-class city, and more, is below for the vacation pleasure. One of many areas you should visit in Las Vegas is the Fremont Street, a pedestrian area with all sorts of special sites.

See a movie star; sip a cocktail on a beach bar at sunset; slip on a set of custom shoes in an ultra-luxurious store in Beverly Hills; perform at Universal Studios Hollywood concept park, discover world-class museums, or party the night time out in a starlet-filled club…..this are only someof the things you will dsicover in Los Angeles, discover this city with hotelbye . Los Angeles may be the California's liveliest town; could be the entertainment capital of America, with megastar electricity and nonstop activities. Hollywood is the most-see attractions in Los Angeles. This place draws an incredible number of readers each year who vacation there to pay for gratitude for their favorite stars and maybe even find a view of a couple of famous personalities. And occasionally they're fortunate!

The traffic on the I-15 is not usually bad up til you get to the strip exits. I live in Vegas and I know last year they set check points out randomly to check for DUI's. So it shouldn't be bad driving into town but just make sure you haven't had the slightest to drink, they really really enforce it on the Fourth of July. Good luck and happy Independance Day!

There's always construction going on here. There really is no getting around the possibility of traffic. I would advise you to take the 215 exit toward Henderson and exit at the airport, which will take to you Swenson, a street that runs parallel to the strip. So if you're needing to get to Tropicana or Flamingo, just make a left and you've bypassed the main traffic of the 15.

Dreadful.

Here's an alternative trip idea: Spend a day or two in Palm Springs, and then drive from PS to Vegas the "back way." Take Highway 62 through the town of Twentynine Palms, and then the highways to Vegas. Palm Springs is fun and the "back way" to Vegas never has any traffic.

From LA to Vegas ON the 4th shouldn't be too bad. Traffic From Vegas to LA will be somthing similar to hell. BTW, Vegas isn't even that great on the 4th- they don't even let off fireworks and it's uber-hot right now.
