I recently had a question answered about how to go about the next step with this girl, which is telling her my feelings. Now, for a new question... Do you think it's low to do that online? As in, through E-mail or IM? I've been told that it's not very sincere and I'd be better off with a hand-written letter. I know that in person is best, but I'm not sure if I'm going to be able to do that because she's going to Cali soon for at least a few weeks. Thanks in advance!

By the way, she's allergic to roses, and we don't see each other that often because of a distance problem. I will be getting my licence soon, so that will help, but in the meantime it's not easy to meet up with her simply because of the distance. I would tell her in person if I could believe me!

Try telling her in person before she goes away.

If you can't do that, then try getting the address of where she will be staying and send her a card. If you're not up for that, then e-mail works. Just make sure that you're prepared to back-up your written words when she gets back.

My b/f wrote many e-mails to me when we first started dating. There's nothing wrong with it, but expressing your feelings in person is always the better move.

Skip the letter or email, it is the least sincere format. Either be a man and tell her in person or tell her on IM.

On the other hand, if you are trying to let her know that you like her do it subtly with flirting. Smile, eye contact, saying her name, laughing will give her a hint you are intersted. Then ask her to the movies with friends, if she says yes you know she is into you. After that outting if she is starting to flirt back, bust a move and ask her to something just the two of you. Trust me this works every time. If she keep saying yes you know you are safe to tell her/kiss her and indicate how you feel without any fear of rejection.. good luck buddy :)

in person is much more better it shows that u r able to over come any awkward feelings u might have about doing it & plus it shows u will make the time for her even though she is going to be away for a few weeks. also, any other method used is just as important so long u put yr heart & true feelings into it. sometimes we have to just do it differently because of certain circumstances. thought of calling her? my hubby (back then when we were just dating for 1 mth) told me he loved me over the phone. man, he was so nervous & could not wait any longer to tell me as i was going away or he was away. the thing is i knew he meant everything he said & still does prove his love to me in every possible way. it's what u say from the bottom of yr heart that counts. always keep the communication going, it helps bridge things up. hope this helps & all the best =)

are you really this shy or do you just not have the balls to tell her in person because you 'got game'? either way, h- to the no! if she is really of value to you then treat her like she's worth something. actions speak louder than words. if you truly are shy then don't worry about telling her just yet. show her through your actions. WARNING! ....if you're not sure whether or not she feels the same....don't be too available, don't compliment her a lot, and don't give her everything she wants. we women appreciate men with backbones.(smile) now, don't confuse this with being an -hole. respect her but don't lose you in the process. the most attractive thing to a woman is a man who is confident with who he is and respects her. oh yeah......really listening to her would get you a lot of points as well. so, if you play all of your cards right, you'll know if and when you are ready to tell her. and who knows...she might beat you to it by then. good luck.

My b/f once told me to write him a letter telling him exactly what I think about our relationship. He said that letters are more sincere than telling in person because you forget to say things when face to face. He and I wrote letters quite a bit to each other. Email or phone call is not very personable.

It would be better in person, look her square in the eye and tell her. A hand written note would be good to, if she could read your handwriting. (very romantic)
An e-mail or an IM might make her nervous, cuz only cowards use that. She may think that its someone else and disregard it.

What, do you want to keep her from meeting someone in Cali? Trying to keep her to yourself by offering a bit of email blab about your feelings? Are you really sincere? If so, you know in your heart the best way to tell her. It is to her face and while holding her hand.

Try to do it in person as soon as you can! But if you don't work up the nerve, then a letter (hand written) is the next best thing. Good luck to you.

I think that if you explain that you have a hard time expressing your feelings in person, than it would be ok to do it online. If you do it that way though, make sure that when you see this girl in person you are ready to talk seriously face to face. It may be an easier way for you to do it through email.

If you do it either in person or over the phone...then you can actually judge her response and know whether to shut up or to keep going...You can't tell any of that in an email...
How would you feel if someone told you mushy stuff in an email?
Would you believe them? especially with so much fwd and hoax mail going around?
USE your head man...women love that...
