If I were you I wouldn't use any household product b/c it can jack your hair up. It might turn it a color that you won't like, orange or it could fall out. I would use a product just for hair.If you don't want to go to a salon maybe use something from the store that is for bleaching your hair. If you do make sure your hair if up to it.. B/c you want bleached hair not bald.

The theory is that peroxide will do the trick. I've tried it on more than one occassion, and nothing ever happened. You should have a Sally's Beauty Salon store somewhere in your vacinity where you can buy the professional bleach. It's not all that expensive either.

Stop being cheap and get it done professionally before you wind up walking around with Punky Brewster streaks in your hair.
If you are lacking the cash to get it done SAVE UP.
Substituting household items for salon professionals NEVER ends well.

You can use peroxide. It will bleach your hair and add a shade of orange.

You could use lemon juice, bleach or hydrogen peroxide but I would not recommend it unless you want to be blind or bald.

i used to use peroxide on a comb and then blowdry.
I got a few highlights after a few weeks.
Of course I was 15 and my mom said she wasn't goign to pay for me to mess up my hair, so I did it myself.

DO NOT USE ANY HOUSE HOLD PRODUCT TO DYE YOUR HAIR! You could burn your scalp and your hair could fall out or get very damaged. You could wind up bald!
