I really don't want anyone to get the wrong idea from my prying question. I mean no offense, maybe somebody can prove my assumption based on my experiences travelling wrong. I would just like to know out of my own curiosity. I'm not saying all african americans, but there is a big majority that do not travel outside of the US. Being in the military doesn't count either. Thanks for answering my question.

I fly a lot. There are many black people on the planes and in the airports. Once, on a flight to Trinidad for a family wedding, my family were the ONLY white people on the plane.

Maybe they're not traveling outside the USA for the same reason most white people don't fly outside the USA; they can't afford it.

I agree with "questionnaire"; although I am not black , I am disgusted & discouraged with flying , due to the hassels; delays & cutbacks in all areas-not to mention being forced to remove my shoes EVERY time I board a plane-while the fact remains that NO white American women brought those planes down on 9/11 .
More often than not , I drive when I travel-whether or not it takes me three days to get there and three hotel stays-it's worth it to me not to be rounded up like cattle going to the slaughter while power happy crazed airport security zero in on the ladies for fear of offending some man ! I am all for security -but it is clear that airport security only hassel the "safe" air travelers .Not this kid anymore .Turn me over I'm done .

I've got a few visa stamps in my passport, but a flip to your question is how many white people have left the country and Mexico and Canada do not count.

Well, that's generalizing, but I'll answer anyway.
My ex-boyfriend/best friend is black. He's flying to Hawaii tommorow from Texas and is scared to ride on the plane. I asked him why and he said he's afraid of the plane crashing. But aren't a lot of people from different races? So it doesn't really matter.

Why do you think that many black people don't like to travel? Could be that the black people that you know don't like to travel.

Haha...that's funny (No offense)
1. It's ok to say blacks
2. Well for one thing look how much crap we have to go through in order to get thru security But all in all I think it's just preference.
