Food fads are just popular trends in food.
Just like Disco was a fad in the music industry, there are fads in food as well.
Right now, chocolate fountains are a good example of a food fad. So are deep-friend candy bars.

Food fads are just the same as any other fad... clothing, toys for children etc... Food fads, however, may be started by a diet specialist or comany and even celebrities (or their personal trainers). They usually turn out to be impractical and "go out of style" so to speak.

It's food that when you think of it, eating it and how it makes you feel, is cozy. It can be your personal favorite food, as simple as ice cream. I think comfort food is what you might want to put in your tummy to make your psychology feel good when you are down in the dumps or homesick. It's different for everyone, depending upon the season and how you were raised. After you eat it you would feel like you are getting a hug from the inside out.
