I'd wondered about that too. It goes back to Charles Post, who invented many of the breakfast cereals we grew up with. "Grape Nuts was one of the very first Post cereals and was an immediate hit. But, from the beginning, people wondered why the name, Grape Nuts?
And finally Post explained that grape sugar was formed during the baking process of Grape Nuts, and, since the finished cereal had a nutty taste, he felt justified in calling it "Grape Nuts."
Sounds a bit goofy to me, but hey, it sold the cereal. Go figure.

This, combined with the 'nutty' flavor of the cereal inspired its name. Some employees at Post disagree with this statement and claim that the cereal got its name because the tiny nuggets resemble grape seeds or grape 'nuts'."

You see...as a grape ages his little grape parts shrivel and fall off, hence "grape nuts" that's the part you are eating. Haven't you ever wondered why the California raisins have such style and coordination?

Dont you know grapes have testicles? All picked grapes get sent to the General Mills factory and are castrated before we see them in stores.
