Is it okay to heat coke or diet coke through a coffee maker (drip) and drink it hot. I wonder how it tastes.

I gotta tell you, it actually tastes pretty good, both diet coke and regular coke, but better on the latter. I'm gonna have to wash out the coffee maker now a couple of times, but oh well. Whoever says it tastes spicier is right, it is spicy! Thanks for your help, lol! And, yes, I am kind of bored and I cannot sleep (coffee really doesn't help that either).

I drank it after it was in my car on a 90 dgeree + afternoon for a few hours. It get a slightly spicier flavor, it's not half bad!

I love Coke! I've drank it hot before (when I was really thirsty and it was inside my car all day). It doesn't taste all that well to tell you the truth, and i'd think that you'd lose the carbination by heating it through a coffee maker.

It won't harm you but it might harm the coffee maker. Sometimes I've had coke out in the car that was in the sun and got really warm and its pretty good actually.

Coke is one of the few things that tastes good hot, cold , and in slushee form. (tea and coffee are the only others I can think of)

Just microwave it.

Hey...No joke...I have a great hot coke recipe....I haven't done it for years....thanks for the reminder. My father worked there for forty years and brought home all sorts of paraphenalia, including a recipe book! Go figure.

Place a can of coke in a saucepan with two cinnamon sticks, two cloves (not garlic...CLOVES) a wedge of lemon and a tablespoon of Brandy or Whiskey (you may want a little dash more). Bring to boil, drain......Drink!

Now days you'd use the microwave instead of the stove in a mug.

It won't hurt you, but hot Coke is not tasty at all. I know I don't like room temperature Coke, and I once took a swig of hot 7-Up that had been sitting in the sun because I thought it was my water. Blech. Good luck.

Dude...you must be bored. I like hot Dr. Pepper, but hot Coke alone has a bit of an odd taste to me. Try it with a little scoop of vanilla or cherry/vanilla ice cream. YUM!

It won't kill you, I don't think. Try it and report back. Hopefully, you won't wreck the coffee maker and make someone mad--like it could leave the taste of coke in the machine.

It's OK...just not appetizing from the sound of it.
Not going to do your coffee maker any good either!
Why not just heat it up on the stove top instead?
