The word dinosour didn't come into existance until the mid 1800s. So if that word didn't exist before then and there were dinosours then they must have been called something else, right?
Well every culture on earth mentions big reptile-like, scaly creatures that most generally terrorized the populace, whether the aggresion was actually real or imagined. They called them dragons, and they are mentioned even as late as the middle ages. I don't think it is a far stretch at all that these dragons and dinosours are the same. So as far as there extinction, yes maybe many or even most were killed in the flood but the rest were killed by men, just like so many other species in this world. This is my opinion, I am not an expert on the subject.

This problem has been around for hundreds of years. Here's the scoop.

If the Bible is literally true and god is the creator of everything, and nothing evolved, then the world can be no more than around 6000 years old (you get this by adding up all the years from creation to the present). Some modern Christians admit it may be more like 10,000 years.

If this is so, then what do you say about fossils? What do you say about what science has found about the age of Earth (about 4.5 billion years) or the age of the universe itself (which is said to be anything from 20 billion years to 20 trillion years to eternal)? Either god lied (in the Bible) or scientists lie. Well, god can't be a liar, so the fossils are said by some to have been created and placed in the ground by god as a way to test faith.

Why on earth god would have created people with such absurd ideas is hard to imagine. But there it is. If you take a story written by humans and then say it was written by god (and god is perfect, etc.), then you have a real problem on your hands. Either god is right (or god as interpreted by humans), or humans are right (and obviously, for these types of people god can't be wrong), so pay your money and take your choice. Either think that we can know a few things, that science is not the work of the devil, or think that anything having to do with science is wrong and that a fable, a myth, is literally true, then go through all sorts of absurd contortions to make your myth fit the facts.

Some like to believe the dinosaurs were wiped out during the flood of Noah. Others believe in the Gap theory. Ya know, There was a big gap between day 1 when God created the earth and day 2. These people believe the dinosaurs roamed the earth during this big gap. Oh! I see Mainworry has already explained it all. He did a much better job than I did.

If you take the Biblical narrative as accurate, then you would have to conclude that Dinosaurs were created on day six, along with all the other land dwelling animals.

Most were wiped out by the Flood, and any that may have remained went extinct due to the climatic changes on the earth.

You don't see the word in translations such as the King James because the word didn't even exist until the 1850's.

the word "dinosaur" didn't come until after the Bible was written.
we alter the spelling of behemoth and Leviathan slightly, we still use those same words in bibles today. However, tanniyn is always translated into another word when we write it in English. Tanniyn occurs 28 times in the Bible and is normally translated “dragon.” It is also translated “serpent,” “sea monster,” “dinosaur,” “great creature,” and “reptile.” Behemoth and Leviathan are relatively specific creatures, perhaps each was a single kind of animal. Tanniyn is a more general term, and it can be thought of as the original version of the word “dinosaur.” The word “dinosaur” was originally coined in 1841, more than three thousand years after the Bible first referred to “Tanniyn.”
there have been a few recent sightings of giant lizards that resemble the dinosaurs we have in museums. dinosaurs can be thought of as just another extinct animal.

Dinosaurs were around billions of years ago and evolved into things we know now as aligators and such.
They don't fit into the Bible because the Bible is a book just like all other books, it does not include everything. The Bible is a history book that could not have held information on billions of years before it's time--it was simply written by men who were trying to document history in a very mythical way.

dinosaurs, clearly evident as Beasts of the Air, Land and Sea. As written along creation day 4 and 5/6, just before man was created.

there is also mention of the creeping creatures, which latter comes out in amention again when speaking of Leviathan, a large serpent creature. (either huge enough to destroy ships on the water, or just large enough tobe a problem to smaller fishermen in the shallower areas...maybe a crocodile? And in and of itsself is proof, since crocs are decendants of dinosaurs by scientific standards)

While there are some references to dinosaur like (I actually believe they were some sort of dinosaur) animals in the Old Testament, namely the Behemoth, and the Leviathan.

I can honestly tell you I don't know, but I also can tell you that whether there were dinosaurs or not ...Jesus still came, born of a Virgin, and died on a cross for our sins, was resurrected and ascended into heaven.

The idea of dinosaurs in the Bible is a neat idea to debate, but don't loose your salvation over the fact that the Bible doesn't address it specifically.

There are 3 earth ages (II Pet.3:5-7), same earth but different ages. We are now in the 2nd earth age. Between Gen.1:1 and Gen.1:2 is a vast amount of time, if time existed. Between these 2 verses is Satan’s rebellion (Rev.12:3-4) and “his tail” drew 1/3 of God’s children. Between these 2 verses also belongs all fossils and remains, such as Dinosaurs.

In Gen.1:2 we have the of the end of the 1st earth age and the beginning of the 2nd. For clarity Gen.1:2 needs to be divided (see below).

(A) Gen.1:2 And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep.

(B) Gen.1:2 And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.

In (A) Gen.1:2 the first occurrence of the word “was” has been corrupted and is “became”. It reads “And the earth became without form, and void”. The end of the 1st earth age.

In (B) Gen.1:2 we have the beginning of 2nd earth age, the one we live in now. Man did not exist in flesh till this earth age.

Between (A & B) Gen.1:2 is also a vast amount of time, if time existed. Between (A & B) Gen.1:2 is; a global flood (not Noah’s which was a local flood), the destruction of Atlantis, the breakup of Gondwana Land, and the Ice Age.

Time means nothing to our Father. He is very patient and loves His children. Instead of destroying Satan and 1/3 of His children, He destroyed that first earth age. Now in this 2nd earth age we all are born innocent in the flesh. Father came in the flesh Himself, Jesus Christ, and paid the price for all. Father defeated Satin, that is death, legally. So now His children have a decision, to choose life or to choose death. It’s your decision. Choose life!!
