When it comes to faith, I like to think of all the reasons why I can't stop my belief. Look at all the things that I don't have an answer for. The things that I can't do. All the times that my friends and family have let me down. Everything that science hasn't got a clue about. With all that we are limited on there has to be something more, something greater than just us. While we are limited, God is not. He has taken care of every detail in nature, as well as outside of nature. Faith is the couragr to believe when there is no way to explain why. This is why we have cars, planes, cures for illness, and the hope of tomorrow. Without faith,... given our limits, we really would be lost. If we don't hold on to an ever increasing faith were doomed. God has created everything, including our measure of faith, it's there for the taking... just ask HIm. He holds all wisdom untill such time as we are ready to take hold of it. All that's lacking is the trust for taking it. That comes with the relationship that we develop with Him. The closer that relationship is, the more faith you will find yourself having.

Read some CS Lewis. He has some of the clearest and most proufound discussions on faith. Mere Christianity is great. A website with more information is http://cslewis.drzeus.net/. In our modern world, it is easy to be skeptical. A BBC journalist named Malcolm Muggeridge was an avowed atheist much of his adult life but found faith in his later years. He wrote several books about his discovery of faith. I saw him interviewed shortly before his death. He was asked if he ever doubted his faith, as he had lived for so many years as a non-believer. Muggeridge answered that he had doubts everyday. And had to struggle with faith everyday. However, he always found that he could resolve the doubt and that God was big enough to allow him to do so. Like steel reinforces concrete, working through the doubt made his faith even stronger.

Jesus said that all we needed was faith the size of a mustard seed. It is not the size of our faith but knowing the one in which we are putting our faith in. A simple prayer of Lord help my unbelief will start you on the track to trusting and believing.

The Bible says without faith it is impossible to please God. Since you already have faith in Him, He is pleased. Now you must continue to get to know Him by reading His love letter to you. You can grow your faith in many ways.
-Join a Bible study group.
-Attend a church.
-Find a mentor by whom you can be discipled.
-Share what He's done in your life with others.
-Give of your time, talents and treasures.
-Pray--not just talking, but also listening.
I hope you will continue to draw near to God. He loves you so much.
