I heard about that. It IS disgusting. $124.50 could pay bills, buy lots of clothes (if you're cheap like me), pay a couple of dr. bills, or buy gas for a few weeks (at least it used to). If you're that desperate for a burger, make one yourself (the fast food ones suck as we all know). I can make one with regular greens, regular mushrooms and regular tomatoes for less than $2.00. Think of all the meals that could be bought for a third-world child with the cost of just ONE meal consisting of that STUPID burger. Get over your addiction to junk food, people!!!
They belong in the same prison as people who spend thousands of $$ on a baby crib, $$ on formula when mother's milk is SO much better (and FREE), and $100 shoes for a 6 month old.
And people wonder why we're all so overweight? 20 oz. burgers that are too expensive to throw away when you can't eat it all..........you gain a pound just by EATING the thing!!

It's ridiculous. However, the guy who buys that burger gives his dirty money back to a struggling restaurant owner who pays his dishwashers, waitresses, cashiers etc. In the end the more expensive you can make what you sell, the more the poorer of us have a chance of getting some of the money. When rich people see expensive stuff, they buy it because it's expensive. If all of us poor people raise our prices, rich spoiled lazies will just give all their money back to us.
Maybe the buyer or proprietor of those burgers is even giving some of the proceeds to Katrina victims.
Are you, Chef Boyardee?
Are you, spoiled-burger-purchaser?

OMG! Where did you eat this burger? I would never spend that kind of money on a single meal.....99% of Americans would not spend this kind of money on a burger...Americans do not have their priorities f*u*c*ked up, rich idiots who have nothing better to do with there money are the ones with the whacked priorities....rich idiots come from all different parts of the world, not just America...

You went to one of those rich people places.........ask the locals next time...all of these places have a cheap menu...taco bell ,,Wendy's..burger king...mcdonalds....white castle..rallys....sonic...at these places a person can eat for about 3or 4 dollars...that's a sandwich fry and a drink,,,,and another dollar will get you dessert...........most Americans are very frugal and to spend 100 on one meal..is nuts.. that would feed my family for 2 weeks....it was your responsibility to check out the town u was visiting....if America has its priorities *** up then why does everyone want to be here

The only beef steak I've heard of this expensive is Kobe beef from Japan. By law, to call it Kobe beef, it must have spent some of its life in Japan. The variety of cattle is Wagyu. It is raised indoors, fed on beer, massaged and its meat has fat marbled through it. Here in NZ some farmers raise wagyu and send them to Japan so the meat qualifies as Kobe beef.

If you look where it's served, it cost over $40K per year to be a member and over $3600 a month in dues. If you can afford that much money, then a hundred dollar burger is nothing.
