The Old Testament, Psalm, and New Testament. That are 3 main categories in the Bible.
The Law of Moses
The Bible contains the scripture given to the Moses. And with the coming of Jesus Christos, the Law were not validated anymore. But then, why the church authorities included them in the Bible. Isn't the word of Jesus Christ alone enough to teach them. If u a doctor, u have a journal dated 100 years ago and at the same time, u have the latest medical journal, which would u read. Of course the latest one. So, if the God inspired man to write the New Testament, did the God forgot to update His words, so man has to refer to the old one?
The Testament
It is very strange, when almost all naive Christian said that the Bible is the word of God. Even the Pope knew that is not true. Actually, the right term to describe it, is the word of man inspired by the God. So it is half God and half man. If the coming of Jesus Christ brought forgiveness in this world, then should he come more earlier? Why the people of Moses have to suffer with the strict laws if Jesus would come someday. So, it proved that Jesus Christ came not to extinguised the laws given by the God, but to continue the law.
Conclusion
Christian today did not practice what the God ordered them to. The reason. Because they reject the Old Testament and at the same time followed the Old Testament. The most blunder of all time.
Be careful

Matthew 5:17
“Do not think that I came to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them, but rather to fulfill them. I tell you the truth, until Heaven and earth disappear, not the smallest letter, not the least stroke of the pen, will by any means disappear from the Law until all things are accomplished. Anyone who breaks one of the least of these commandments and teaches others to do the same will be called least in the Kingdom of Heaven. But whoever keeps the commandments and teaches others to do the same will be called great in the Kingdom of Heaven.”
Matthew 7:21
“Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only he who does the Will of the Father who is in Heaven. Many will say to me on the day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and in your name drive out demons and perform many miracles?’ Then I will tell them plainly, ‘I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!”

Basically we're talking Purity Laws here people. Keeping the Nation of Israel Pure. By being a slut and sleeping around in her father's house, a girl was dishonoring her Parents and family (and in those days they had BIG families). There was alot to lose from this type of behavior being allowed to take place in a family home. The family could be shunned or ignored. They perhaps couldn't get their sacrifice to be taken annually since they allowed sin to go on constantly in their home and then they would get NO relief from sin from God even on a yearly basis when everyone brought their sacrifices to the Temple.
Also, Bestiality IS JUST nasty. 'Nuff said.
Homosexuality, well death is way way harsh since its no ones fault. However, this is at a time when Israel was a 'growing tribe' and needed all the family men they could get. So they didn't want to see men go to the 'wayside' and not do their duty.
Harboring witches was unconsciounable. This was Yahweh's country and no other god or witch, or spirit could be allowed in his territory.
For disobience to his parents (cursing them, hitting them) then they received death. Sounds good. Why in the hell would you ever hit your parents. And if you do that to them, how would you raise your own children. Not well, I can tell you.

All of these are Old Testament References. If you are Jewish, Jesus was the Mesiah, he even said that a Prophet is not accepted by His own people. Jesus was more than a prophoet and he was not accepted by his own people, the Jews. Fron Isaih, you knew that the Mesiah would die on a cross, and that was written years upon years before the Romans came (Romans used Crucifiction as their main form of execution). The Romans are now gone, but Jesus was there in Jerusalem, and he died on the cross, Every prophesy said of the messiah was fullfilled through Jesus, I know you beleive that He was going to deliver you from your oppressers (the Romans) but the Romans are gone and they are not the real oppressers, Satan is, and if you choose to follow Jesus, you are taken out of Satan's clutches!
Also, there was a woman in the New Testament who was caught in the act of Adultery, they took her to Jesus, but Jesus said, "Let him who is without sin cast the first stone." Jesus chose to not stone the woman, but forgive her of her sins. Jesus did not stone this adulterous woman, and that is why you shouldn't stone your son.

You shouldn't just read only one part of the Bible (not just the Old Testament but also the New Testament), those are ancient Israelites rules, they are surely strict, to keep Israelites from committing the sin which disgusting God, just the same as we do now, we do have strict rules to punish bad guys and criminals, right?? (for instance, death penalty). But, all of the rules were changed by Jesus when He came to this earth. He didn't want ppl to perish for sin, and by His love He died so ppl don't have to died for those horrible sins they make.

The scriptures you mentioned were in the Old Testament and in those days there were many rules and regulations because Christ had not yet died to pay the price for our sins. Under the old law people had to pay for the sins no matter what.
That is why many churches create rules and regulations to confine the people. They base it largely on the principles of the old law.

You have to realize that we are now in the time of grace. The judgment of those laws do not apply now. If you read Galatians chapter 3, you will get a clear picture of why those laws were given in the first place.

I suppose your Jewish or non-Chrisitian because you have left out the most important text pertaining to this issue.
John 8
1But Jesus went to the Mount of Olives. 2At dawn he appeared again in the temple courts, where all the people gathered around him, and he sat down to teach them. 3The teachers of the law and the Pharisees brought in a woman caught in adultery. They made her stand before the group 4and said to Jesus, "Teacher, this woman was caught in the act of adultery. 5In the Law Moses commanded us to stone such women. Now what do you say?" 6They were using this question as a trap, in order to have a basis for accusing him.
But Jesus bent down and started to write on the ground with his finger. 7When they kept on questioning him, he straightened up and said to them, "If any one of you is without sin, let him be the first to throw a stone at her." 8Again he stooped down and wrote on the ground.
9At this, those who heard began to go away one at a time, the older ones first, until only Jesus was left, with the woman still standing there. 10Jesus straightened up and asked her, "Woman, where are they? Has no one condemned you?"
11"No one, sir," she said.
"Then neither do I condemn you," Jesus declared. "Go now and leave your life of sin."

My only answer for this is that this was Old testament, before Jesus. After Jesus came, forgiveness was available. It's a lot better if you don't do it, but if you do it and come asking forgiveness, truly knowing you were wrong, He'll forgive you and you'll be right as rain.

I wont refute any of the statements except the "rape" one.... read it, its not "rape" because she "crieth not" which means she was willing even though she was betrowthed to someone else. It is very true, God doesnt want us to use our bodies the way we do today. Makes me even more sure this was not written by mere men. Man would never put such high restrictions on sex.
