Because unfortunately, we only hear in the media about the bad things that Muslims have done. The media doesn't see the good things that our Muslims neighbors do everyday. I don't believe Muslims are bad. There are some bad people who happen to be Muslim, just like there have been some bad people through the years who have claimed to be Christian. This doesn't make the every Muslims person Bad or every Christian person Bad.

Christianity and Islam are competeing religions. You worship the same god and have many of the same principles/stories attached to your religions. You had a prophet/messiah, they had a prophet, and both taught some of the same things, although there were some obvious cultural differences. Both religions, I think, have had things added throughout the centuries that the originators would have objected to greatly. You are both very adamant that yours is the only "true" religion, to the point where those who leave your religion are ostracized (in extreme cases), and those who don't believe in it period are seen as evil. You are also competeing for conversion of the same people at this point, and the conversions of members of each others' religions, too, since that is a big pool of potential-conversions for both sides. Also, in the past the "Holy Land" was claimed by both sides, and that centuries-old emnity is still there, whether some of us want it to be or not, and it's being supported by many of your leaders on both sides. That is why both sides are taught that the other side is immoral, wrong, evil, against God, etc etc. After all, you can't BOTH be right, can you? Because that would make your religions' claims that they are the "only true way to God" false as well, and no one likes to admit that they're wrong.

It's more along the lines of love the sinner, hate the sin. I don't consider ALL Muslims bad people, however I do have a bit of a problem with men who will kill thousands of people at the whim of one fanatical "holy man."
I am confidant that there are GOOD people who are Muslim, however, I also believe that they are in need of a Savior. The Bible states that Jesus Christ is the ONLY way to salvation.

The Old Testament says to: Deuteronomy 7:1 to 7:10
And Christians complain that the Koran is intolerant!! The Old Testament is rife with intolerance of other beliefs.

The Bible does not believe that Muslims are bad people - there is no mention of that. Christianity does not discriminate against people on basis of their faith, race, color or creed. The Bible says to love one another as Jesus Christ first loved us.
I give you a new commandment: that you should love one another. Just as I have loved you, so you too should love one another. -- John 13:34
And walk in love, [esteeming and delighting in one another] as Christ loved us and gave Himself up for us, a slain offering and sacrifice to God [for you, so that it became] a sweet fragrance.
Ephesians 5:2
