What the Bible says about Menstruation
Leviticus 15:19-30
And if a woman have an issue, and her issue in her flesh be blood, she shall be put apart seven days: and whosoever toucheth her shall be unclean until the even. And every thing that she lieth upon in her separation shall be unclean: every thing also that she sitteth upon shall be unclean. And whosoever toucheth her bed shall wash his clothes, and bathe himself in water, and be unclean until the even. And whosoever toucheth any thing that she sat upon shall wash his clothes, and bathe himself in water, and be unclean until the even. And if it be on her bed, or on any thing whereon she sitteth, when he toucheth it, he shall be unclean until the even. And if any man lie with her at all, and her flowers be upon him, he shall be unclean seven days; and all the bed whereon he lieth shall be unclean. And if a woman have an issue of her blood many days out of the time of her separation, or if it run beyond the time of her separation; all the days of the issue of her uncleanness shall be as the days of her separation: she shall be unclean. Every bed whereon she lieth all the days of her issue shall be unto her as the bed of her separation: and whatsoever she sitteth upon shall be unclean, as the uncleanness of her separation. And whosoever toucheth those things shall be unclean, and shall wash his clothes, and bathe himself in water, and be unclean until the even. But if she be cleansed of her issue, then she shall number to herself seven days, and after that she shall be clean. And on the eighth day she shall take unto her two turtles, or two young pigeons, and bring them unto the priest, to the door of the tabernacle of the congregation. And the priest shall offer the one for a sin offering, and the other for a burnt offering; and the priest shall make an atonement for her before the LORD for the issue of her uncleanness.
Leviticus 20:18
And if a man shall lie with a woman having her sickness, and shall uncover her nakedness; he hath discovered her fountain, and she hath uncovered the fountain of her blood: and both of them shall be cut off from among their people.
Ezekiel 18:5-6
But if a man be just, and do that which is lawful and right, and hath not ... come near to a menstruous woman.....

Well to a certain degree, they allow women who are having their periods into the church now, and with modern supplies (pads, tampons, etc) there is no absolute way to tell if a woman is on her period or not, back in biblical times women didn't have access to running water, soap and pads or tampons, so it was a very unclean time when now you can't even tell how do you know if the person that sat in the chair before you was having a period, there is no way to know for sure, unless they have an accident, which probably happened quite often back then and like now if that were to happen you would wash the chair, sheets, etc. I think that if someone is a true Christian then they abstain from sexual intercourse until the woman is clean (done with her period) there are those occasions when the period starts in the middle of sexual intercourse, but I think that as long as the couple doesn't deliberately have sex then they are obeying the Bible about abstaining from blood and uncleanliness.

To a certain extent. My wife and I do not have sex during her period. When I wake up in the morning, I take a shower and wash myself. It really is simple, you don't have to put her out into the garage or tool shed. The uncleanness is a ceremonial uncleanness, they could not go to the temple. But, we are not required to sacrifice the animals since Jesus was the ultimate sacrifice.
God gave Moses 4 different sets of laws; the ten commandments, the ceremonial laws, laws of health and sanitation, and laws for diet. This particular passage is in the laws of health. The ceremonial laws governing feast days and sacrifices was the only one that ended when Jesus died for us. Every part of the ceremonial law represented Jesus in some way, but not so with the other 3 sets of laws.
Legalism, no; love. "If you love Me, keep my commandments."

Of course they don't obey the Bible. They will say that these laws were only for the Jews, not for them.
HOWEVER, they have no problem saying that the Ten Commandments, which were also given only to the Jews, are for them to obey, and they have no problem persecuting, hating, and even killing homosexuals because of laws that were given only to the Jews. They show themselves to be inconsistent and hypocritical at every turn--especially when they disobey even the Big Ten! How many of them keep the Sabbath holy, as God commanded? The Sabbath is the 7th day, not the 1st.

These rules are given under the Mosaic Law. But as a result
of the the new law, the law of the spirit of life by Christ Jesus,
we do not follow the previous laws. Romans 8;2, Romans 7;4.
I Corinthians 13;8a, Love never fails!!!!!

Your talking old testament. Before chrust came to earth. Christians still stay away from the period because it's not a very clean thing to do. So do most other religions. I don't think touching her is a problem, give me a break, are you going to go make love when your on your period?

DO remember that we are no longer living under the "law", but under "grace", due to Christ's cruxifiction, burial, and his arising from the dead after three days in the tomb....these Old Testament verses must be read IN CONTEXT...God bless you...peace

Christians do not have to obey these laws. These laws are refered to as the Mosaiac Laws and they were set up for the Jews. Christ Jesus set up a new covenant and Christianity, so we are under these laws anymore.

We do not keep the law the law was fullfilled in Jesus Christ. Christians are followers of Jesus Christ. We are not saved by keeping the law. Do you know that Jesus said that if we failed to keep one of the laws that we were guilty of all?(James 2:10) We are saved by the precious Blood of Jesus Christ.

You are correct, those are all the scriptures I believe having to do with a woman on her period.
Matthews 5:17-19
17 Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil. 18 For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled. 19 Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.
also read: Rev. 14:12, Rev. 12:17, 2 John 6, John 14:15-17, 1 John 5:3, 1 John 3:22-24 so many more saying we are suppost to keep his commandments. Freely, no gun to our heads, if we love him. Jesus came to fullfill.
Romans 3:
31 Do we then overthrow the law by this faith? By no means! On the contrary, we uphold the law.
But..
Remember, when Jesus died, the Law of Sacrificing animals was nailed to the cross. He was the last Sacrifice.
So going back to your scriptures on menstrating women.
Just like the bible says... Do not sleep with a woman when she is bleeding. That is correct.
Some "Christians" don't believe in keeping his commandments. Some do. These are the two different kinds of Christians.
One by FAITH WITHOUT WORKS,
One by FAITH BY WORKS.
James 2:
17 Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone. 18 Yea, a man may say, Thou hast faith, and I have works: shew me thy faith without thy works, and I will shew thee my faith by my works.
Romans 6:14-15
14 For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace. 15 What then? shall we sin, because we are not under the law, but under grace? God forbid.
1 Corinthians 15:
14 Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross;
Hebrews 5:1
For every high priest taken from among men is ordained for men in things pertaining to God, that he may offer both gifts and sacrifices for sins:
Hebrews 7:27
Who needeth not daily, as those high priests, to offer up sacrifice, first for his own sins, and then for the people's: for this he did once, when he offered up himself.
Hebrews 8:
6 But now hath he obtained a more excellent ministry, by how much also he is the mediator of a better covenant, which was established upon better promises.
10 For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, saith the Lord; I will put my laws into their mind, and write them in their hearts: and I will be to them a God, and they shall be to me a people:
The Laws of Animal Sacrifice, could never take away sins, that is the reason Jesus died for ours sins to take the place, once and for all of the Animal Sacrifice.
The Ordinance of Animal Sacrifice was nailed to the cross, it was handwritten. The commandments were not nailed to the cross, it was on stone.
FINAL STATEMENT:
We are saved by faith in Jesus, believing he is the son of God.
We show are faith by our works,
If we love God and Jesus we will keep his commandments.
Jesus came to put Gods laws in our hearts and in our minds.
Hebrews 8:6 But now hath he obtained a more excellent ministry, by how much also he is the mediator of a better covenant, which was established upon better promises.
10 For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, saith the Lord; I will put my laws into their mind, and write them in their hearts: and I will be to them a God, and they shall be to me a people:
