just because now its known that a body nailed to a tree wouldnt be suspended long if nailed thru the hands. , so now after centuries the religious people say ooops we made a mistake. they did have rope back then. they couldve have lashed and bound His wrists, neck, shoulders under the arm pits even, around the dogwood tree. I dont mind opinion, but to outright say yes He was nailed thru His hands then when science and others show it couldnt have been so. they outright declare it was his wrists, by subjective reasoning alone. they change their mind and the word of God.
personally it isnt important as religious leaders make it out to be. He was nailed to a tree, and for our sins. as to crosses and other religious items. anyone who has had surgery and thanked your surgeon by wearing a gold or silver scapel raise your hand ;o)
you dont thank your parents for being born. by wearing jewlery genitalia atleast i hope you dont. not a rant just a laid back spiritual observation God Bless

crosses, an actual bible, (instead of knowing and practicing Gods love faithfully by its instruction) and any religion you may hold dear along w/any leader. try and gain salvation or grace from ony other place but God. youre making a hell of a mistake. it wasnt the coin, cross or small pocket bible that stopped a bullet. it was God alone. if as one asked me, let me ask you. if that cross, coin or pocket bible stopped a bullet would you toss aside God? and kneel to worship a symbol, or idol?

You mean Christians ruin Christianity. And I agree. And also vice-versa.

Firstly, I think it makes sense for people to revise their beliefs when they find convincing evidence to the contrary. Their reasoning isn't subjective or whimsical, but based on what literary, scientific, and archeological evidence we can find. They weren't there at the crucifixion and they're just trying to undertand it as it probably happened. What's wrong with that? I myself don't think that it particularly matters what way Christ was crucified except that it helps fulfill Old Testament prophecies, but there's no harm in trying to be accurate.

The cross is important not only because it's a symbol of God redeeming us, but also because it's unique to Christianity. What other religious god is there who was executed as a criminal? And then, rather than being ashamed of this fact, Christians hold it up as a great thing. It's something that makes us stand out. And many people do keep things that saved their life. If you had a pocket bible or a coin or something that stopped a bullet and saved your life, you wouldn't say 'Damn, now it's ruined!' and throw it away. Of course not. How much more understandable is it then, that people wear crosses when that was what saved their lives? Personally, I wear a cross to remind me of how I ought to be living. I am reminded of Christ's sacrifice and try to act a little better because of it.

Edit
Touché. It is not the cross which saves us, but rather Jesus' death upon it. As for bowing down and worhiping it, I certainly don't, and I don't know anyone who does. A statue is a representation of a person, but no one would mistake it for the actual thing. The cross is a symbol of Christ's death, but is certainly not Christ. All in all, I think there's more good than harm to be had from wearing one. As I said before, it helps remind me of how I should be living and why. Which is a good thing, since as a proclamation of my faith, it holds me accountable for my actions. By it, people can see I am a Christian. If I do good and act justly, it brings credit to God and to Christianity. If I act poorly and hurt others, then it discredits the faith. As St. Francis said, "Preach at all times. If necessary, use words."

Well chrisitianity IS big buisness after all.
It's when the sheep start to see that thier shepherd is in fact, the wolf, that the system breaks down.
And more and more churches are being bulldozed to the ground for just that reason. And everytime that happens, it's like someone scraped something disgusting off of the shoe of humanity.

I did not read any of your blurb but---

They ask for money too often.

They use the ancient TITH thing and don't do their part of that Lacitical Law. ( If they were even still in effect.)

They use psudo Curing to fool the public!

Twice a year (like a clock) they run out of funds)

They tell us how to use GODS $$ but overspend themselves.

They get gradious ideas that JESUS would never have dreamed of.

They pretend they are TRUE CHRISTIANS and they are not!

Think of Hitler, he was a very devoted Catholic, and the Holocaust was him trying to fulfill some things some idiots who wanted war put into the Bible thousands of years ago. What a lovely thing that led to.
