Mexico must SUCK. Mexicans are running from it like it was a burning ship.

I gues Mexican citizens have basically given up trying to save their country. They can't seem to leave it fast enough.

Immigration or illegal immigration?

I think immigration of poor immigrants needs to be limited because we subsidize poor people's services like education and health care, and need those funds to serve our own people. The schools in Los Angeles should give you a pretty good idea of what happens with essentially uncontrolled illegal immigration of people whose children do not speak English.

I think we need to secure the border and stop the flow before we can talk about other points. I think we need to know how many people here we are talking about when it comes to amnesty, and I think we have to make it clear that any residency permission contained in any amnesty is only for the people here, and can not give permission to quadrupal immigrant numbers by bringing in absent family.

We would take a long time to absorb those here if we gave amnesty to screened illegals, and if we do that I don't think we could raise immigration limits for a while. If agriculture needed 1.5 truly temporary migrant workers and wanted to provide education and health care in the sort of 'company town' the steel companies used to have, that might work. Otherwise the numbers are WAY too high. There is no way we would have let as many poor immigrants come in as have already come illegally. Until we can serve those here, and have secured the border, until we have employee verification up and running, and have dismantled the benefit packages that draw illegals across the border, we will continue to have illegal immigration. Until then, we can't raise the numbers of legal immigrants, in my opinion.

I love Mexico...I've visited there twice and think it's a beautiful place.

Immigration? Well, I have nothing against immigrants of any nationality. However, ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION is another question. I feel that immigrants who enter the U.S. illegally are draining the U.S. economy to pay for their healthcare, education, etc. I feel that when ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS enter the U.S. and work without paying taxes it is wrong! I am against this. And I also feel that it is a slap in the face of the immigrants who went about things the correct and legal way and obtained citizenship before entering and working in this country. I feel that illegal immigration hurts the country in which the immigrants are trying to enter and live in prosperously.

Immigration built our country, illegal aliens are NOT immigrants. If I sneaked into your crawlspace without you or your family knowing, and occasionally took out the trash when you all slept, what would be the harm? And lets say, that after a few years, I came out, and the neighbors (who are missing monstrous amounts of FACTS) and I all thought I should be allowed to remain in your crawlspace, and you had to teach my language in your schools, and pay my social security, hospital bills, and food stamps...What then? Well, you will have a new roommante, thats what.
Love Mexico, but a legal immigrant or naturalized citizen of the U.S. really needs to let go of the label "Mexican", and embrace "American"...ask Carlos Mencia.

I think people are very ignorant about it. Immigrants are a huge part of our infrastructure. BUT as a Mexican/American I don't approve of people taking advantage of the U.S by working with no SS# therefore not paying taxes...etc. That goes for EVERY immigrant country. Illegal immigrants are stealing from Americans, and it's not ok. But I do think it's ok for people who come over here legally. This is America, a melting pot. We are all here for that great land of opportunity that everybody brags about. Open your mind people. This world could be a lot happier, if we would all just get along.

Hummmm, Well let me see, I think Mexico does not do it's part to try and control the border situation. About immigration, I think Legal, right on, Illegal go home. It's just not fair for many reasons. They need to step back and realize that they have no valid excuse for their behavior. So they wanna better themselves, so do many other people from other countries!!!!

Nothing wrong with Mexico. It's the money hungry businesses in the U.S. that are exploiting these people who only want a job and have a life that their country can't or won't give them. This is the root of the problem and now these people are undergoing humiliation from Americans that don't want to see where the problem lies, their own government!

I think illegal immigrants should have a chance to become citizens of the U.S. but if the goverment doesn't approve the law for immigrants to become citizens then listen to this I don't want any Ameican's trying to open their businesses in Mexico!!!!

Because when they are coming here "illegally" to take jobs away from Americans (we have so many homeless and down-sized people here in America that can do those jobs), to take our money that they don't pay taxes on and send billions each year back to Mexico even though they don't want to live there, to use our hospitals, schools, etc. that we have to pay taxes for and pay for their injuries, etc., when they come here to commit crime, etc. and fill up our prisons, when their children get breaks on tuition and Americans don't, and they can't speak our language, then they have to live the way it is here in America. The main thing is the illegal part. Our ancestors came here legally. They developed this country and made it what it is. So if immigrants want to live here then they need to do it LEGALLY and learn the language, pay their taxes and not be committing crimes. If they can't do that, then send them back!

Someone needs to tell Vicente Fox to shove it!! And all you illegal Mexicans need to quit your bellyaching and whining! They don't want to be Americans, just Mexicans. They prove it by coming over here and sending their money back to the homeland and waving the Mexican flag! Which just shows you how stupid they are when their homeland is a shithole. Thanks for the gratitude! They have the audacity to protest in the streets like they're entitled to everything we have. WRONG! Just your typical minorities. What they really want is entitlement much like the blacks. They don't want equality, because then they would actually have to be ACCOUNTABLE for what happens to them like us White people!! Democracy doesn't mean that you can come over here and do as you please. HELLO!! We have rules and laws that legal citizens must follow. That's part of what makes a Democracy work. Without it we'd be like Mexico....corruption and the special elites. And what's this crap about how hard you people work? What?!? I guess if I'm white I'm a lazy piece of crap that supposedly makes too much! Corporate America Wants you people here to crush the last life out of American labor as we once knew it and making a decent life for ourselves. They want us to be poor and stupid like Mexicans. How come with all our factories down there, you morons still keep coming up here?!? I think i know the answer to that.

Don't like Mexico sticking it's nose into our immigration business, Fox wants use to have open borders so he can export his poor and uneducated on us. So his government doesn't have to fix their country. The Mexican government encourages the people to leave.
