I'm sorry you lost your dog. That's sad. :(
I'm sure you will get another dog sometime, but you probably need to wait a while. You want to love the new dog for itself, not as a replacement for Jackie, so you'll need some time to adjust. Then, when you're ready, get a new dog.

It has only been a week, keep your hopes up. But there are always those that will scoop up a nice dog and keep them. These people arent true animal lovers because if they were they would know how distraught you are and return her right away. Give it some more time, did you hear about the dog that was missing for 4 years and was just returned to his owners? He had a microchip though.
I hope you get her back, I can only imagine how miserable you feel!!

im so sorry about your loss.. that is so unfortunate. it depends on how long it has been since she was lost. wait at least a month, and if she isn't back by then, look into getting another dog. get a pembroke welsh corgi, dont get another jack russell, it will make you so much happier if you get a corgi. please get one from a rescue, they are very sweet dogs that love their owners more than anything in the world. my puppy got out when he was 7 months old, left on our front doorstep, he wasnt neutered, but he stayed there the whole night, we found him hours later, right there. good luck with everything, hope you find her!!
ill say a little prayer for Jackie : (

dont jump into to getting another dog. My sister's cat disappeared once, and after a week she went and got a new kitten. 3 weeks after he disappeared, the cat returned home with no indication as to where he'd been. The cat and the kitten cant stand each other though, so now my sis has that to deal with. Just dont jump the gun on this.

Don't despair. JRs are natural runners, and she might just run back to you. Check the shelters, and if you live in a smaller community you might ask the cop cruisers to keep an eye out. I have two of them and they have to be penned, because they run away. Hang in there.

Im terribly sorry for your loss, but maybe you should get another dog. In time you will become okay so another dog would be great for you. Get one that can remind you of her & has similar traits. At first it will be sad, but it may just help you heal faster.

Its up to you - you sound like you're doing everything humanly possible to find her. Try putting a reward as part of your flyers - it might help.
Sorry about your loss - thats really hard to go through :(
