I have had cats all my life, everyone of them has liked to play in water. Funny, so many people think cats hate water. They have espescially liked a slow drip from a faucet.

Many of my cats also like the drip drip of the faucet, but I have a black and silver short-hair (Maximilian aka the Mitten) who likes to chase the garden hose when I'm watering the plants. It's so funny watching him chase the water stream and trying to catch it. He minds getting wet but it doesn't stop him. He's even tried to catch a drink out of the hose.

My youngest cat likes to put his toys in the water dish. My oldeest cat llikes to play with water dripping from a faucet.

My cat only drinks water from the faucet and usually lets it run down her forehead. Once I had a dinner party and a friend walked in on Oreo sitting in the toilet drinking water from the bowl.

All my 3 cats beg me in the morning to turn on the bathroom tap to a slow stream so they can drink from it. I've also had cats that drink from the toilet. But as far as getting wet or playing in water, NOT.

I currently have three 9 month olds who seem to have no fear of water. They "fell" into their water bowl numerous times as little babies -- no reaction, just keep tearing around! They LOVE a running faucet, and my boy will literally walk right into the shower stall with the shower RUNNING! And he loves to put his toys in his water bowl, too. One of my girls has stood in the sink with the faucet going full blast and soaking her back leg -- no biggie.
No one has gotten really doused yet, but so far, no fear -- and a big delight in playing in the sink!

My cat loves the water! He just lays in the sink and lets water fall on him. Whenever we turn on the sink or the hose he is right there getting wet.

My cat likes some water, but not baths. Funny that all cats can swim.

I used to put water in the tub and my cats would hop in and drink it or sometimes sit on the edge of the tub when I took a shower, many times hopping in at the back of the tub and sitting there. funny aren't they?

No, he likes to whine and cry when I take a shower, but if I open up the curtain, he is OFF! Flick him with water and you would think I shot him! Although he really likes the tub when there is no water in it!
