It's not exactly wrong to call the Almighty by the impersonal "God", just as it's not wrong to call one's offspring "Child". If we want a familiar and close relationship, however, it makes sense to use the personal name of someone we love. The Scriptures encourage us to use God's personal name.
The Hebrew name “Yahweh” (or “Yehowah”) seems to accurately pronounce the divine name. Just as the Hebrew name “Yeshua” (or “Yehoshua”) is translated into “Jesus” in English, the Hebrew name “Yahweh” is translated into “Jehovah” in English.
The important thing is to use God’s personal name in whatever language you speak, rather than insisting upon the impersonal! The name “Yahweh” is certainly preferable to the non-name “God” or “Lord”. If you speak English, feel free to use the name "Jehovah".
(Psalms 83:18) That people may know that you, whose name is Jehovah, You alone are the Most High over all the earth
(John 17:26) [Jesus said] I have made your name known to them and will make it known, in order that the love with which you loved me may be in them

Worldwide there are many gods worshiped. In the Shinto, the Buddhist, the Hindu abd tribal religions there are millions of gods. Gods such as Zeus and Hermes were worshiped in the days of Jesus apostles.(Acts14:11,12) So the Bible agrees that'there are many gods,' but it also says that "there is actuallyto us one God the Father, out of whom all things are,"(1Corinthians8:5,6) If you were asked, 'Who is this God?" what would you say?
'He is the Lord.' many answer. Or they may say: 'He is a Spirit in heaven.' Adictionary calls God: "The Supreme Being." When asked "What is God's name?" some persons answer, 'Jesus." Others do not think of God asa person. but a powerful force that is present everywhere. But although God does not have physical body , he has a spiritual one. The Bible says:"If there is a physical body, there is a spiritual one."(1Corinthians15:44 John4:24). God has a spiritual body is a real person and does also have a personal name !And in the Bible his Name Jehovah is sited over 7000 timesSo his name Is JehovahJHWHare the Hebrew consonants in Hebrew the Hebrews did not use vowels as they knew how it was pronounced so today no one knows the exact pronounciation of God's name although the excepted form is Jehovah how many people pronounce names of people from other languages exactly right they can't and it is not
the most important thing
for the exact pronounceation so it would be hard for us to pronounce the Hebrew name exactly even if we knew the exact wayand it is better to pronounce it the best way we can than not to use his name at all The Bible speaks many times of Jehovahs name to be magnified and made knownExodus9:16 shows that God wants his Name known in theall the earth, and so that is what his people are doing making his name known to all Psalm83:18 tells of Gods name what it is Also Gods Name is found in most Bibles at Revelation19:1-6 as part of the expression "Aleluia or Halelujah." This means praise Jah a shortened version of Jehovah.

GOD’S NAME
The Massorah has a rubric calling attention to these first 4 acrostics. This locks in the name of God according to Hebrew and Biblical scholars. The name also being spelled backwards for Divine reasons, a subject for another time.
Est.1:20 And when the king's decree which he shall make shall be published throughout all his empire, (for it is great,) all the wives shall give to their husbands honour, both to great and small.
( shall give to their husbands honour both to great and small ) Hebrew ( Hi Vekal Hannashim Yittenu ) HVHY
Est.5:4 And Esther answered, If it seem good unto the king, let the king and Haman come this day unto the banquet that I have prepared for him.
( let the king and Haman come this day ) Hebrew ( Yabo Hammelek Vehaman Hayyom ) YHVH
Est.5:13 Yet all this availeth me nothing, so long as I see Mordecai the Jew sitting at the king's gate.
( this availeth me nothing ) Hebrew ( zeH eynennV shoveH leY ) HVHY
Est.7:7 And the king arising from the banquet of wine in his wrath went into the palace garden: and Haman stood up to make request for his life to Esther the queen; for he saw that there was evil determined against him by the king.
( that there was evil determined against him ) Hebrew ( kY kalethaH elayV haraaH ) YHVH
Also a 5th acrostic of “ I am”, ( I am that I am ) Hebrew ( ehyeh asher ehyeh ) Exo.3:14
Est.7:5 Then the king Ahasuerus answered and said unto Esther the queen, Who is he, and where is he, that durst presume in his heart to do so?
( Who is he, and where is he ) Hebrew ( huE zeH veeY zeH ) EHYH “I am”
The Massorah has a special rubric calling attention this acroustic.
Psa.96:11 Let the heavens rejoice, and let the earth be glad;
Hebrew ( Yismehu Hashshamayim Vethagel Haarez ) YHVH

YHWH (pronounced and sometimes written as "yahweh" I think) and Jehovah. Also, at one point in the Old Testament, God says something like (paraphrased, I lost the exact quote) "I am so jealous a God, you can call me Jealousy" Others will say Jesus is God, and Jesus had a name. Most would say it was Jesus, but his original name was something closer to Yeshua (notice the closeness between that and YHWH, but perhaps a mere coincidence) This became jesu (pronounced more like yesoo) and that becam Jesus.

God is God. He has several names in the bible. He is Jehovah, King of Kings, Lord of lords, the beginning and the end, Alpha and Omega. The list can go on and on. The important thing is he is the only true and living God.

God does have a name and he wants you to use it. At Psalms 83:18 it says "That people may know that you whose name is Jehovah, you alone are the most high over all the earth." His name is Jehovah and when we use his name in prayer we are making the prayer personal.

The true god that I dont treat as my god is the creator of heaven and earth and all that is in it (Not what it turned out to be)
His name is Jehovah meaning; He that causes to become.
My answer might be discouraging considering the world we live in, but we have to find out for ourselves what his purpose is and why things are the way they are.

My "god" is known to my religion to have two aspects, the Goddess and the God, and they can have many faces and names to suit the need. We believe that they have been acknowledged throughout the centuries and millennia, even by the Christians (Jesus and Mary, Son and Mother like in many of the stories that came before them).

We call God as "ALLAH".
first of all, Allah is just a name for god. like how some bibles say that God's name is Jehovah.
The word "Allah" literally means itself, "The only one worthy to be worshipped".
The Glorious Qur’an says in chapter 17 verse 110
"Say: ‘Call upon Allah, or call upon Rahman: by whatever name ye call upon Him, (it is well): for to Him belong the Most Beautiful Names....‘"
[Al-Qur’an 17:110]
You can call Allah by any name, but it should be a beautiful name, it should not conjure up a mental picture, and should have qualities that only Allah possesses. For example, Most gracious, Most merciful.
"The most beautiful names belong to God: so call on Him by them;..." (7:180)
Allah! there is no god but He! To Him belong the Most Beautiful Names. (Qur'an 20:8)
"Say: He is Allah, The One and Only. "Allah, the Eternal, Absolute.
"He begets not, nor is He begotten. And there is none like unto Him."
[Al-Qur’an 112:1-4]
