My current weight is 160 and I am 5'8. I really want to be able to feel comfortable in the bathing suit my fiance got me, but can't with my currnt weight. Currently I run/ walk everyday, but there are still places that I really want to tone up more such as my stomach and thighs and the runs/walks aren't cutiing it. What type of things can I do at home that don't require me to join a gym? How do i get rid of this belly and thunder thights???? Help me please!!! (^_^)

Note section called "the quickest and fastest way to lose weight." Nothing is faster. Plus many thin people also do this same thing for better health.

First, it is mostly not your fault that you need to lose weight. The way society has taught you to eat is responsible for making obesity (according to Atlantic Monthly magazine) the #1 health problem in the world replacing hunger and infectious disease. So you are a victim of this pandemic (epidemic) of obesity.

So you need to completely re-learn how to eat so you won't be a victim anymore. Learn everything that is on the site below. Do this and you can be thin. Do this not and you will have what you have now. You will learn about losing bodyfat, retained water and a 3rd thing.

The reason there is so much info on this website is because I need to spend a lot of words to prove that many current ideas about losing weight are wrong. Princess Diana was 5'11" and 125 pounds.

The Promise:

In 2 1/2 months you should lose 52 pounds. I'm not sure if this promise is accurate, and I haven't tried this diet, it seems a little odd though, but who knows, maybe just read this one and laugh at it.

The Rules:

You must drink eight 8oz. glasses of water daily (64 oz. total per day).
At any meal you may eat until you are full.
You must eat the minimum listed at each meal. (yep, this diet list the minimum you should eat).
You cannot eliminate anything from the diet. Especially the bacon at breakfast and the salads. You must eat the bacon and salads. These combinations of food burn the fat, omitting one part of the combination will cause the whole thing not to work.
The grapefruit or fruit juice is important because it acts as a catalyst that starts the burning process. Don't add or reduce the amount of grapefruit or juice.
Cut down on coffee, it affects the insulin balance that hinders the burning process. Try to limit to 1 cup at meal time.
Don't eat between meals. If you eat the suggested foods you will not get hungry.
You can fry food in butter and use butter generously on vegetables.
Do not eat desserts, breads, and white vegetables or sweet potatoes.
You may double or triple helpings of meat, salad or vegetables.
Eat until you are stuffed. The more you eat the more weight you will lose.
Stay on the diet 12 days, then stop the diet for 2 days and repeat.
Diet Plan:

Breakfast:
Either 1/2 grapefruit OR 8 oz. juice (unsweetened)
2 eggs any style
2 slices of bacon
Lunch:
Either 1/2 grapefruit OR 8 oz. juice (unsweetened)
Salad with any dressing
Meat any style and any amount.
Dinner:
Either 1/2 grapefruit OR 8 oz. juice (unsweetened)
Salad with any dressing OR a red or green vegetable cooked in butter or spices.
Meat or even Fish any style cooked any way.
Coffee or Tea (1 cup)
Bedtime Snack:
8oz. glass of tomato juice or 8 oz cup of skim milk

My weight loss didn't really get going until I added weights, and weight training. You can get a pair of hand weights at Wal-Mart, go on-line and get some exercises and you're off (or the weight is). You may not lose10 pounds by the 4th because you will temporarily GAIN weight for the first 90 days or so. Muscle weighs twice as much as fat, so as you gain muscle you will gain weight. This is only temporary, DO NOT PANIC! After about 90 days the fat and pounds will melt. You will try on a skirt that is too tight and three days later it will be too big. Free weights are the next step!

Also, I don't think 5'8 and 160 is that bad. I am 5'10 and I am shooting to get BACK to 155-160.!!

Everyday from this day forward you must drink 2 high energy drinks, like slim-fast or boost. You must also eat 1 apple, and 1 orange as well. If you like candy have a small or miniature candy bar, half in the am and half in the pm so you feel like your not being punished. Chicken, fish or turkey, no pork or beef. Take a multiple vitamin and drink juice, Gatorade or koolaid, no soda pop. If you're a drinker only red wine, it burns HDL and is good for your heart. if you need a stimulant give you a jump start try the dexatrim H2O. Good luck and here's look in at you babe!

Burn more calories everyday. It sounds simple but it works. Most people do not know how to calculate this. The basic formula is Calories Consumed minus Basal Metabolic Rate (BMR) minus Physical Activity.

The current issue of "Muscle and Fitness" magazine has some excellent workout routines that won't get you bored.

Remember, diet and exercise is best for lasting weight loss.

I saw a spa on the tv where the owner massages the places where you have excessive fat. The women had clothing they previously wore, and had then over time gone many sizes smaller than when they started going to the spa.

Since the spa on tv was in a different state, and no one locally does it, and I could not afford to go even if they did, I am trying this myself at home.

Not like squeezing toothpaste. More like massaging the tissue to keep the blood flowing better. I find doing it in the shower works better because you can massage easier on wet skin, vs dry.

Too soon for me to tell if this works or not. But, hope this helps.

First of all cut out sugar and as much carbs as you can. It's ok to eat 100% whole wheat bread/pasta etc. but try to stay away from the white flour. You need to do weight training in order to tone up...you can get yourself a set of dumbbells and workout at home, I have been doing it for years! You can go online to get workout programs to help you out. try doing cardio 4 - 5 times a week and weights at least 3 times a week. It takes a lot of dedication, but you could lose 10 pounds by then by cutting out the junk/bad carbs/sugar! Good luck!!

run alot, drink alot of water, watch your calorie intake and do leg lifts (lay on your back, raise your feet in the air to a 90 degree angle, lower your feet until they almost hit the floor and raise them up again) Good Luck

you need to do crunches! thigh lifts help alot too
