You may ask this somewhat in jest but it actually is a serious problem for some people...myself used to be one of them. I drank diet coke first thing in the morning until I went to bed at night. I did this for years. I caused myself some kidney damage in the process, but the worst part was actually when I decided to give it up about a year ago.
I had a month off of school and decided I would give up caffeine for good, so I just quit. Had terrible bad headaches off and on for days, fell off the wagon a couple of times, but finally quit by the time the month was up.
One day not long after I quit I was working out in my yard and I developed an unusual 'thump' in my heart that scared me. I quit what I was doing and it kept getting worse over the next several days, so I finally went to a doctor. What came in the weeks and months that followed was a nightmare not worth repeating, but the bottom line is that it seems my system freaked out over not having the daily caffeine fix and to make a long story short in the process I now have heart problems I take daily medication for.
Sooo...to those 'hooked' on cola I say QUIT. You can't be sure what damage may stem from drinking too much of it. I haven't even addressed the aspartame issue (in diet coke), which is another nightmare in itself.

Hi, I had a Coke / Pepsi "addiction"
I laughed at myself because I didn't think it was possible, but I really did need it like a drug, and if I tried to be strong and cut back, it would be all I could think about.
I think it was a combination of the high sugar content, the caffeine and the habit ( not to mention the sweet sweet taste)
My breaking point was when I went to the dentist, and he said that I had 5 cavities, probably due to the amount of sugar / acid in Coke - and I am petrified of the dentist - so it was a horrible experience. I brush my teeth at least twice a day, so the only other option was to cut back - I had to go cold turkey in the end (!!) and can now just have 1 can every now and then as a "special treat"
Hope you enjoyed my pathetic tale of woe and Pepsi.

yes and i know the best way to drink it:
buy it really cold open the lid and drink a mouth full before the bubbles can escape and then take one breath for a second and drink it again and then finish the bottle.
the reason this is great is because the bubble takes your breath way and you choke (not real choke just a bit breathles for a sec) a little and the mixture of it hitting you with a burst and taking away your breath is amazing and you immediately take the next mouth full after one breath because you have been a bit choked by having your breathing interrupted your taste buds are more alive and alert than ever and you get the full flavour its amazing and keep drinking for the caffeine and sugar hit
p.s don't drink it every day stick to diet during the week or it makes you ill and there’s nothing worse than flat coca cola and always drink the real stuff
try it

Yes!!! I am a recovering cokaholic and still occasionally fall of the wagon with a resounding splash! For many years I would drink 3-5 32oz sodas a day and only eat one meal in the evenings. I got so I would wake up with headaches and feeling woozy untill I had a pepsi or coke (or two). When I realized how a soft drink was dictating to my life I quit. One of the hardest things I've done.

I am more of an Orange person myself, but when it comes to Cola I prefer other brands (Pepsi, supermarkets own brand) over Coca-Cola which I think is way to sweet (too much sugar)

maybe its the caffiene or sugar or carbonation. but in any case if your battery cables are corroded pour some coke on it an it's gone. some police units carry 2 liter cokes to remove blood from roads after accidents. think about that!

i don't think it's addictive. it's probably the caffeine in it that's addictive. personally, i drink a lot of other fizzy drinks than Coke. I guess you would get bored drinking the same thing all the time.
