Even though it hurts, I suggest really stretching out those muscles after your work out. Maybe for even 5 minutes or more. You'll feel a difference immediately. Also taking a warm bath afterward really relaxes your body as well.

I think more important than finding a cure for tonight is to change your exercise habits so it doesn't happen again. Stretch before AND after your workout, and drink lots of water throughout and after. This will keep the potassium out, which will keep your muscles from tightening.
For the immediate fix, alternate cold and hot on the affected muscles, and take two ibuprofen.

Well i think that you should just relax, and dont just jump to a big amount, like if you run a mile a day, dont just jump to 5 miles, pace yourself.Try 1 and half miles. I think that if it really hurts put a little bit of ice, since you increased it, your body wouldnt be use to it so it should only be like that for a couple of days or so. but I can say that you will be back to yourself in no time...I hope

Usually I take a hot bath and two ibuprofen before going to bed and the next day no soreness or very little. worsk every time

Massage...get someone to give you one or give one to yourself in the areas you can do...it will help stretch the muscles and relieve the pain.
