Let's put it in perspective. Out of over 6 billion people in the world, 2 billion are western countries. China is emigrating into Russia, Canada, and the USA, it needs to dump 300 million people. Other countries are doing the same, but Mexico isn't one that needs to.

Europe, Austrailia, and North America is going to get hammered. We have to control things now before it's too late for us.

A billion billion, but would destroy the earth - it maxes out around 2100 at 10 billion then goes down from there.

No -- I've been to overpopulated countries...the human problems they have may be related to overpopulation, but it's silly to worry about it in the U.S. This country will not get overpopulated like India or China in at least 200 years or more. Baby booms occur, but that's not overpopulation. In fact, social structure and social support is stronger no where else in the world than in India and China. Why do you think these kids are so brilliant? They have enough people after their thoughts, habits, conduct, ways, behavior, attitude, and speech than in countries where families are smaller and more of the politically-correct size (2.5 kids+dog+house+car or thereabouts). Even the problems in U.S. public schools do not even exist in India and China. Wouldn't one logical view be that if you had more people, you'll have more behavioral problems in schools? That is one logical argument, but it's not the truth, because more people also means more social structures and better behavior.

I am. In a sense a lot of the world's current problems are caused or at least significantly amplified by the number of people on the planet.

I am not worried at all. The United States is a very big country and we have a LOT of living room left. Also if we ever start running out we can just take some from Canada, they have a lot to spare.

That's a long way off in the US. There are currently 30 people/km² in the country, way below Germany's 230 or Italy's 192 or the UK 243.

Evolution has a way of dealing with overpopulation but you won't like it. In the '50's it was cancer. Now we have HIV. We need to control our population or evolution will control it for us.

Overpopulation is the main problem the world has today. And the people who are overpopulating it are from the poorest parts of the world.

No, I'm not. I was going to answer that maybe in India, Bangladesh, China or somewhere like that they might be, but they just keep right on having children. Well, China stifles it some with abortion, etc.
