my grandparents are 20 years apart and have a beautiful marrage. This isn't the norm but it can work out.

Having said that...16 is too young no matter what the age of the guy is. she should be a kid for a few more years.

Well, age does not always have a huge problem, depending on the reasons for why the two are together. My parents are 8 years apart, and are very happy with one another. However, a 25 year old guy with a 16 year old minor seems wrong, particularly if they have or are becoming "intimate." Because of your sister's young age, i do not think that the relationship is appropriate, at least not for another 2 years when she is 18. She will have developed a greater sense of maturity, and will know more about what she wants in life. Right now, the maturity of the guy is appealing to her, when she compares him to the immature people(guys) that she must know from school. Basically, i think that age gaps are not necessarily a bad thing (depending on how large of a gap) unless one of the people involved is a minor, and/or they are engaging in any sort of intimate/sexual relations.

No. There is a lot of difference in life experience from 16 to 25. It wouldn't matter so much if say she was 30 and he was 39, but at 16 you still have not experienced alot of things. I would tell her she needs to find a guy her own age someone she can relate to.
