gee, it depends on what part of the ocean and how big the sailboat and where you cross, using winds and currents in your favor......if you want an average passage of a 40 foot sailboat from Boston to England, figure 35 days; Spain to the West Indies 25-30.....most cruising sailboats average 125 miles a day, going with the wind or the current; so get out your map and divide any distance by that.......

Last year when I did it in my 24ft sailboat, from the Bahamas to Bermuda was 6 days, from Bermuda to Plymouth England was 32 days. I did not bother stopping at the Azores
