Just might be?
I don't see where the bible says a woman can't work or be equal to a man, but in a house hold and church..
But when you get married and have sex, it also say you become ONE

No women are not in sin for seeking equal rights because the bible says all men are created equal. In cluding Wo"man". Plus shouldn't women be able to do the samething that a man does. We are all equal and God proved that when he made woman out of a man's rib.

I am not very sure abut Christianity but According to Islam, woman is not helper of the man but both of them are helper to each others and they are better half for each other. In every aspect woman has equal right as men, yes there sis bit difference between there roles. One is responsible to earn and feed his family and other one has to make up the home and take care of her house. This is my information and understanding , may be some people have objection on it.

Excuuuuuuuuse me??? "Serve man"...uh...where does it say that? "Help mate" refers to an "equal", guess you didn't know that. I suggest you read the book by L. Cunningham, "Why Not Women" because somewhere along the line you got some bad information about women and the Bible and equal rights.
We have to "seek equal rights" because if we don't we aren't going to get them in this world. It is a pagan belief that stems from ancient Greek/Roman times regarding how to treat women. It is not Christian. The problem is that some men preaching and teaching from the Bible have misconstrued what Paul said about women completely. That is the real sin.

It's not that women are to serve men, but actually that women are to be the man's "help-meet" meaning helper and equal partner.

I'm pretty sure that there is a passage in the Bible that says women are supposed to serve men, but that doesn't mean that they can't hold positions of authority in the curch, workplace, etc. Serving men applies to relationships and not all aspects of life, and women weren't created solely for the purpose of serving men either.

There's no such phrase in the bible, God made men and woman equal and the same. Woman do not have to serve the man, that's something men invented for their own pleasure. Both men and woman have to serve God.

The bible also says that if your son gets drunk that you must stone him to death...hope your parents never found you drunk!
That's out of date propaganda written by men of the time.
If God wanted women to serve men God would have made women into robots without brains and feelings and as much as men would like to forget, we have both in abundance.
Plus, we are the emotionally stronger sex. When something goes wrong within a family who is the strong one that everyone goes to for comfort and support? The woman!

Wow! This question can get me in a lot of trouble if I answer it in front of my girlfriend. I think that the Bible meant for women to be strong leaders and to do most everything a man can do when it comes to teaching and leading and even preaching, it's just that I don't believe we would have had a snowballs chance in hell of taking Normandy Beach in WWII if we had sent nothing but women against the Nazis, rather we'd all be speaking German now and hailing Hitler.

I don't see in the Scriptures where God made woman to serve man. The Scripture says "wives respect your husbands" and to the husbands "love your wives". We are equal in the Lord's eyes, we only have different roles, because one is male and one is female. We're already equal.

No, because later on in Ephesians, husbands are told to submit to our wives as Christ submitted to the church - even to the ultimate sacrifice. Even the passage in Genesis suggests this. it says "serve" & "help", not "slave" and "do everything for". Service is a two-way street.
"Even the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve..." - Mark 10:45
