When your b/f gets out on parole, he will have to report to the NM Parole Office where he is going to be residing in NM. After which, there is something called "Interestate Compact." Your b/f's parole officer will explain this to you and him.

Your b/f needs to have a home plan and a job plan, which basically means he has a job waiting on him and place to stay in MN. After NM sends in the request to MN, then MN will state whether to receive him or deny his request for parole transfer and/or he is a sex offender or not.

Mind you, if your b/f violates his parole in MN, he waives extradition from MN to NM, where parole revocation proceedings will be taken against him by the sentencing court in NM.

But I will tell you this, ex-felons face a hard time getting a job because of background checks. Make sure he has a guaranteed job in MN waiting on him.

Also, after he receives a discharge from parole, have him put in a request in NM for a State Pardon or some form of post-conviction relief or an expungement of record of conviction (expungements depend on state law whether they grant them or not).

HE needs to request a transfer from NM. There is nothing you can do. Doesn't mean they will say yes either and MN has the right to say no also.

Why don't you consider transferring yourself...as far away from him as possible? Look at this as an opportunity to make a break from someone who is probably dragging you down in life. I say this because I can't believe how many women post something on here about a guy they are with who is in trouble with the law. Makes me wonder, 'don't these women have any self-respect?'

Your concern should not be focused on a transfer but rather getting a new boy friend.
