Someone who dies never knowing Jesus, lives a humble existence but obviously "denies" the holy spirit, he might drink once in a while and fornicate, but what would that matter since he's denying God, right?
Or...
someone who has a methodical tortured soul, someone who has raped, tortured and killed children, women, animals, manipulates people, lies as a personality trait, molests children when he's not killing them, practices abortions, and is FILTHY RICH? but, late in life he repents and asks for forgiveness, practically on his death bed, assuming he is "honest" with God,
who has more chance of going to hell?

ok, i personally believe, that if there is a hell, it is created for people like #2.
I don't know how anyone could think that such a god would put those who don't really deserve to be in hell there just for 'denying' him, while the countless acts of savagery go unpunished. that is sick. is your god one that likes to play games just to see if you 'believe'--but doesn't particularly seem to care what evil horrors you have perpetrated? ABSURD., I would not want to be with a god like that #1 and #2 if heaven is filled with the lowest forms of humanity, like HITLER and those like him, what is hell even for!? lol, don't you see that an all knowing all wise god who tortures souls in hell forever just because they denied his existence and at the same time sees no difference between good and evil doesn't make sense? what a ridiculous god you people have created. what is he? like an evil five year old or something?
by the way, the only people who ascribe to this hogwash are "born again".

and Furthermore, I wonder if any of you would feel the same if your little child was a victim of the #2 guy. but then he decided he was going to be in heaven with YOU and your kid!! and God would look upon this with fairness and joy?! crazy. just nuts. I can tell by the answers that see #1 going to hell are either very young, young, don't have any children or are young and don't have any children. Life hasn't dealt you anything tough yet.

Both will go to hell, and yes you will along with everybody else, including Christians. All go to hell at death. The original Hebrew word was Sheol and the Greek word was Hades, properly translated they mean: the grave or a pit.Another word also translated as hell was Gehenna(Greek),this is an actual place now known as the Hinnom Valley in Jerusalem. This is a place that always had a fire and they burnt trash, animal carcasses, and live babies were sacrificed to molech the great owl god. Look at a map its on there. In Psalm 16:10, & 49:15 David knew he was going to hell (grave) and would be resurected from it.Many of the older Bibles such as Geneva properly translated these words as grave or pit. It is impossible to have three totally different words and translate them all as hell. In the 1600's when the KJV Bible was made ,the meaning of the word hell was to put in the ground so when they changed the wording to hell they understood what it meant. If you look up Gehenna in Websters dictionary today you will see it tells you the same thing I said. Apparently its to difficult for most Christians to actually look up the meaning of a word, they prefer to listen to the lies that their preacher spews from the pulpit. My God will put you in hell when you die,the grave, and regardless of your beliefs or how you lived you will be resurected for judgement. To receive eternal life you must know Christ as saviour, if not you will be thrown into the lake of fire Rev. 20:14,this is the second death, where people are consumed instantly and permanently. No eternal suffering and torment.I am a Christian and I think its a shame that churches use these kind of scare tactics to keep people in church. Look at below website for many other anti-church / pro-God topics

The person with the most chance of going to Hell, is first, going to have to be someone who believes in Hell.
The Hell you are most likely referring to is an entirely Christian concept. (Even the Jews did not believe in Hell as it is portrayed today. They taught that when you die you go to Sheol, the land of the dead.)
Despite a couple of references in the New Testament, the idea of Hell didn't really catch fire (sorry, couldn't resist) until the middle ages. Right about the time Bubonic Plague started sweeping through Europe and and both good and bad people were falling over dead with seemingly no sense behind it. At times the death rate was so high that Christians had to perform mass cremations.
Any one who survived had a pretty good feeling that they knew what hell was like, and the modern Christian portrayal blossomed into dogma.
So, anyone can go to Hell, if they want to.

First one...
If you read the gospel of Paul, He was the kind of person you described in second paragraph. He was a persecutor against Christianity. He would torture, maim and kill all Chritians. He was a high member of Roman citizenship, meaning he was very well off. One day as he was walking, he heard a voice of Jesus..."Saul (His former name before becoming Paul) why do you persecute me?" Paul fell down and started seeing bright light. He became blinded (temporarily).... From that point on he became a Christian, and did great thing for Christianity.
No matter how bad you were, you repent with all your heart and soul, God will forgive you. This is lot better than a person who never know God but morally good... he would never achieve salvation unless he commits to Jesus..

Sounds like you already know the answer to this question, but I will answer it anyway.
Assuming the repentance is genuine, and only GOD knows this, your person A not only has a chance of going to hell, he or she will go there. Person B will be in heaven.
When our eyes are opened to our need for a savior is not up to us, but to GOD. If your eyes are never opened, you were never chosen.
THe best story in the bible about this, is the one about the employer that gave the same pay to all the workers in his vineyard for the day, some had worked all day, some half the day and some had come for just the last hour. Some that had worked all day were upset that the ones that came later had gotten the same pay, but Jesus told them he made the same offer all day, never changing it, some took the offer early and some later, but the offer stayed consistant.

Anyone, at the last second, no matter what they have done, can be forgiven and go to Heaven. We, as men and woman, cannot even begin to guess who goes to Hell. "One may smile, and smile and be a villain." We often don't know who the bad guy is. So how can we say with any certainty, not knowing someones heart, where they will go in the afterlife? No one knows if that promise by God of forgiveness to the truly contrite is real.

I've asked the same questions myself (obviously not exactly as same as yours) but this is what i have learned. killing, raping, torturing, and all things of that nature is evil. probably one of the most evils we as humans will ever know. but to God, the most evil is to deny him and to live without him. so if the first person is obviously denying God (or the holy spirit) he will be first to go to hell. but if the person happens to be a child and doesn't even have the concept of a holy spirit...that's an entirely different show.

The person who honestly seeked God and asked for forgiveness...IS Going to Heaven. No one on this earth has ever had the chance of Not knowing God. Yes even the people in the remote areas of this vast world..He reveals his existence through nature. They can just look to the sky and know there must be a Creator. Everything in nature all around them is showing. It is just a starting place to receive a deeper understanding of God.
God said there is only One way to Heaven that is through
Jesus his Son. That way and only that way. If you think God makes allowances for some people..then you must think God is not Prefect, and he misquoted himself. Those of us who have heard about Christ and reject Him have no hope of forgiveness.

God knows the heart. Those that were never told about him have not denied the Holy Spirit. The one who repents on his death bed is saved. So neither would go to hell.

In every religion, if u believe in heaven and want to go there you have to pass the test of life..and what i believe that to graduate to heaven you have to clear two different papers.
1) God and his rights
2) people and their rights
so if you worship God, remember Him all the time , never lose your trust on Him in ure good or bad days....you will pass the exam.
for second paper..you have to be very kind, nice and truth full with people. Be honest with your family, friends and your work.
My believe is if you have less marks in paper 1, which is related to God He might give you some grace marks as He is kikind....but if you are fail in 2nd paper which is about people and their rights...you can not pass the exam and you can never ever go to heaven,

Depends, if the first guy died NEVER having known Jesus, then I don't think either one of them will go to hell. But if the first guy heard about it but still denied his existence, then he probably has a better chance at going to hell. But bottom line there's really no way we will know until the end of times.

A christian would say
Someone who dies never knowing Jesus and rejects it, so the molester is going to heaven
At least the humble person had a wonderful life and if Jesus can't accept that Satan will and Satan will have a place in Hell for him, with A/C
