Why do so many women dress indecent and then complain that men treat them like tramps?

What's indecent? People have different opinions of what indecent or not. And how do you mean men treat them like tramps? They whistle? They grope them? How?

Your question is too broad.

Anyway, do you think if women dress decent they WON'T be disrespected by man? Are you serious? I know plenty of women who covers up pretty well, but they get treated with no respect by their own men. In the meantime, women who are dressed more provocatively might get whistled here and there but I think that's probably the lowest level of disrespect, and honestly, I think the women can live with that.

By the way, it is NOT how they dressed that caused men to disrespect them, but it is HOW THEY CARRY THEMSELVES. If you can show some skin but be a lady in the way you act, then the men will ultimately respect you.

How you dress doesn't justify bad behavior on the part of other people. I noticed in your other question that you asked why people have a problem with you for dressing very modestly and wearing a veil. So it's okay to treat OTHER women differently because of their clothing, but not YOU? Who's to say that what you consider indecent isn't what the rest of us consider normal?

I don't mean this as an attack on you or your beliefs. I think every person has the right to expect courtesy and respect. Suggesting that women who dress a certain way deserve to be targets makes life more difficult for ALL women.

But seriously, men will treat a woman like a tramp no matter how she dresses if that's how they treat women......skimpy clothes just make for a better target. Women know this and use it as an excuse to be at the center of things. Either that or they just don't know any better and are just imitating their favorite movie stars.

They dress indecent because of today's Media. All of the hot, superficial Hollywood chickswhere them, so why not us? They just want to be "cool", and the only reason why they DO complain is that they are idiots that have lost all trace of modesty in them. Modesty for ever. I beleive in that the Media has also turned most American men into low-life, worthless piece's of trash. And then, they treat the ALSO low-life women like the low-lifes they are. You see? It's all a plan used by the Media to destroy the morals and values of our ancestors and turn society into a brainless slob so that they can control evry bit of our lifes. Because they're deluded by the mentality that the world has inundated them with: "Dress indecently and men will want you." An interesting point is to look back at history and see when society degraded. Men treated a women somewhat decently when they demanded respect. When women thought they needed to go down to man's level (which, I am afraid, is rather low, considering the lack of self control and little restriction of desire), they gave up something that would be near impossible to get back. Thanks for bringing up this point.

Well, to tell you the truth, it is pretty broad what you consider "indecent", but even if a woman dressed provocatively, men who treat women badly usually think badly of every woman in some way. It just makes their behavior and their negative hangups about women seem valid when they dress scantily--a subjective assumption anyway. Then these type of men can freely exercise their hatred and resentment that they have towards females when the woman seems vulnerable to attack in some way.

Yep thats a mystery to me as well. The logic just doesn't work. I mean, the justification is, "Its my body and I'll [expletive-expletive] well wear what I want to!"

Thats fine and dandy until a criminal type who has no self control rapes them. These guys are not concerned about laws or any half nekkit woman's rights. It doesn't justify rape at all, but I think the point is clear - if a woman wants to tease and call it her legal right she should be aware these dangerous slobs on the loose, and no amount of jail time will take back what they do to women.

"You may not be a ho, but you're wearing a ho's uniform."

My guess is that they do it because a). they have self-esteem issues, b). they've been given the impression that the way they dress is considered "sexy" instead of "trashy" so when they are treated like crap they don't understand why, and/or c). they really are tramps, but don't realize it yet.

I honestly don't understand it. There are plenty of ways to dress sexy and not look like a hooker and plenty of women know the difference.

Because, they think that's the only way the nit-wit men with pay attention to them. But, who would want a guy that is only attracted to you if you dressed like a ho?

I dress well and I send a message to the type that have their heads in the toilet..."don't bother". Why do I need to waste my time with any guy who wants a woman to dress trashy?
