Your dog is considered an adult as soon as they are older than 6 months. Inbetween 6 months and 8 years is adult, greater than 8 years is considered to be geriatric.

She will always be your (puppy) but she is an adult. She is now what vets consider the ideal weight for the rest of her life, but who of us can resist giving them those little add weight treats? By the way, I hope she is spayed. She may have been able to have puppies since six months old, and there are altogether too many puppies in the world without loving owners, good food, medical care, or even toys. My Choo-Choo, is four years, six months, and twenty-one days old: She was a New Years baby. She has slowed down on playing with toys, but she loves new collars, harnesses, and jewelry. Unable to find jewelry with clasps that hold, I use decorative key chains. She throws a fit when I say ,"Look what mama brought you. Have fun with your Puppy for the next fifteen or so years.

It is according to the size of your dog. Some very large breeds are not considered an adult until 3 years old, but the small and medium sized breeds are adults by age 18 months, and some large breeds, just not the biggest ones, by 2 years.

Technically an adult. However, some dogs need as much as 3 years to outgrow the puppy-ishness.
And of course there are the dogs that never grow up! ;-)

Dogs are physically mature adults at 1 year old, although mine have always acted like puppies long past that age. I have two boxers, ages 1 year and 20 months, wrestling like maniacs beside me as I type. Some times I wonder if they're EVER going to grow up and be dignified. (Heave huge sigh here)

Both. She is a young adult. Small dogs mature faster than large breeds. Other than weight, she is as big as she will get, but her bones will continue to mature for several more years. Keep up with the good food and vitamins because her activity level should still be high, and she still needs to be energized.

a dog is considered full grown at 1 year. So, yours has been an adult for a year now.

depends on the breed... most dogs turn into "adults" at around 2-3. some dogs take a longer time, though.
throw her a birthday party!! she will love it!
