Plz don't come up with these reverse psychological question/answers like "Why not?". And don't say I'm rude for asking this cuz it's for a study my class is doing. Why do people decide to have sex outside of marriage? Is it because the media's doing it, or they're just curious or what?

Can't answer for others but myself
I don't think that having sex outside of marriage is bad because you know what you like when you get married
if you have never had sex before marriage then you may hate it or at least hate it with that person and think this is not worth it stop having sex with them which will end up in divorce more than likely
where if you had had sex prior then you know what it is all about
that's just my point of view on it

Honestly, if I had the chance to go back to age 14, I would've saved myself for my virgin husband, who was almost 32 when we met, 33 when we married.

It's peer pressure. Curiousity, I guess. The media doesn't help. The false belief that "everyone else is doing it anyway. Why not us?" It takes the specialness from doing it with the one you truly love. On some levels (and I struggle with this) he's "one of many" for me. I'm his one and only.

Because they are human beings. We are constricted by our social upbringing and such things as religion, tradition and societies rules, such as what is acceptable behavior within your sosiological environment. The rules change within a time/geographical spectrum. Countries and cultures not influenced by western moral values differ from normal western trates. perhaps we need to accept that we are just another species of animal, if we did that and rid ourselves of western theological/moral norms perhaps we would be less confused, less constricted. There are no norms, it depends on your upbringing, I for one, would prefer less moral constrictions, they lead to confusion, we are just animals and our maker gave us a very strong sexual desire/urge, suppression of that urge causes pain and confusion. People have realationships with the opposite sex because it is normal, marriage and familly values are man made, sexual urges and desires are God made and therefor it is right and normal to have sex outside marriage. Well, that's what i think, but who am i to say, just another animal?

I think it's because people have powerful sex drives. It's a desire that's hard to resist.
