Taking Tylenol is actually what the doctor recommends. They don't want you to take Ibuprofen, aspirin or anything like that. Doctors normally recommend taking 2 regular Tylenol every 4 hours. Or if you are are taking Extra Strength Tylenol, then you should take 2 every six hours.

But you still check with your OBGYN just to make sure that it's okay or to find out what doseage you should take.

Acetaminophen, also known as Tylenol or Panadol, is usually safe during pregnancy. It is a pregnancy class "B" drug which means that animal studies show no risk or adverse fetal effects but controlled human 1st trimester studies not available; no evidence of 2nd or 3rd trimester risk.
Do not exceed the dosage that is printed on the label, which is usually 4 grams / day.

tylenol is safe during pregnancy. use recommended doses on the bottle and don't take more than the amount daily on the bottle. it can cause liver failure in all people, not just the pregnant

My aunt took tylenol when she was pregnant. She took the regular dose 2 tabs. per: directions.

But she only did this when she felt she really needed it.

Ask your doctor or call a pharmacist. But DO NOT take more than the recommended dosage as this can damage the liver.
