I don't really think so. What does a 13 year old know about dating and relationships? But then again, you have to start somewhere.

I'm afraid that I am probably going to step on your toes with my answer, but I feel strongly about this subject. My own daughter was just as mad at me when I refused to allow her to date at your age.
But while most girls your age feel like nothing bad will ever happen to them, watch the news more often. Viv's best friend was date raped, and her body was found weeks later. It can, and does happen all the time, and unfortunately, it CAN happen to you. Not saying that it will, but there will be lots of better dates later on, and you will be a stronger woman inside for the wait. Not just physically, but mentally and emotionally as well. There are alot of different aspects of dating. From having your heart broke, to feeling so overwhelmed by love for somebody, to feeling isolated and depressed. Don't rush in and find yourself cynical before you even have a driver's license. Enjoy being 13, and wait for the best time yet... It's worth the wait!! Good luck!!

There are absolutely no circumstances in which it is appropriate for a 13 year old to go out on a date.

no 13 is really young for dates. I'm 16 and just started going out on dates. At 13 you are still really immature...wait till your older and listen to your mom, you will look back on this and thank her!

I'm turning 15 in August, and my parents still aren't even letting me double date!!And I've had A LOT of boys ask, and it's hard to say you can't, but if the boy really likes you, he can wait. So yeah. I guess that it's all for the best. *sigh* have a nice day! :)

I know EXACTLY how you feel. That's what my mom told me for the longest time when I was 11, and she let me when I was twelve. The thing is, there is no RIGHT age. Your mom is probably scared of you getting hurt. Listen to your mom and try and compromise. That's the only reason I'm dating now :)

Yes,why not? 'cause when u r thirteen then u r a teenager and tennagers can go out on date Why is their bounds for that?I am also a teenager(13) and I go out sometime.Why don't parents understand that in teenage we too love someone.
