Did you know Muslims are not suppose to let a non-Muslim cut their hair?

this is what I was told tell me is it true because I have clients that are Muslim? I am not.

I hope this helps I cut Muslims hair and I have heard this before from people who did not want me to cut Muslims hair in the salon they frequent due to prejudice and ignorance. I believe, as some of the people who answered your question, that some Muslims now do not hold strictly to old customs.

Another person may cut a Muslims hair even if they are not a Muslim, but only if the cut is on a woman that's Muslim and done by another Woman, that woman does not have to be Muslim. Muslim guys may let any one cut their hair.

That particular client is apprehensive because Muslim's ladies code of attire includes covering their hair to other men (not familial related) AND non-muslims ladies alike. But most muslims ladies (like me) are relaxed about it and I have had my hair cut at various salons operated by non-Muslims.

So the real issue here is about covering the hair from unnecessary viewing..and since cutting require viewings thats why she's saying it. So its not about cutting per say.
