Why do illegals from Mexico refuse to assimilate into our society? Why should I, a citizen born and raised here, be forced to listen to ranchero music at full volumn all hours of the day and night, try to read signs and literature in a foreign language, the ruin of my neighborhood by junk cars and trash, dirt bikes going up and down my street, illegal fireworks, grafiti everywhere, and gangs hanging out at the local stores, and cannot say a word because I might be deemed a racist.? This is crap. People are really fed up. You want to come here, start obeying the laws, and you won't have people so pissed off at you all the time.

None of the states belong to the Mexicans, you lost the war, and then you sold it. If France wanted Louisiana back, you think we should hand it over? Read your history.

THIS QUESTION RIGHT HERE.......THIS ONE.......AND THE OTHER 500 BEFORE IT.

is one of the reasons I cannot jump on the bandwagon.

Let me reiterate what you just spew out.

1. Ranchero music....played loudly
2. English and Spanish on signs....etc.
3. Cars and trash in driveway
4. Bikes going up and down the street
5. Fireworks
6. Graffiti
7. Gangs hanging out on the corner

Lets change Ranchero to music and leave out #2 and you have the good ole USA.....with or without "those hated Mexicans".

You base some of your feelings on these 7 things? You think that any of this is important.....truly important? You think this takes precedence over lives and how people live their lives?

No your not racist.....not at all.......you have generalized and degraded an entire community......but you are not racist. The next time I drive by someones house who is playing ANY music....I will think of you. The next time I see a yard full of "fixer uppers" and a few old tires.....I will think of you. I won't go on.....it won't make a bit of difference.

I believe alot of people are being TRULY hurt financially and I believe ALOT of people are feeling the effects in their schools and hospitals......and I do what I can to support that aspect of the issue. BUT.......ignorant questions like this make me SO glad I have stood my ground and looked at both sides logically.

Reality rocks!

America is a melting pot...a mixture of cultures. I don't agree with illegals coming in...but I do think it should be way easier to become a citizen or to work in this country. I am German...my grandmother came from Germany to escape Hitler's Nazi regime. I know people who speak German, listen to German music, and eat German food...but they also eat hamburgers, hot dogs, eat at McDonalds and shop at Wal-Mart...those are very American things to do. The thing that makes America the awesome place it is is because it's a mixture of everything..whites, blacks, Indians, Africans, Europeans...everyone...and all of their cultures have intertwined and have made American society the way it is. I agree with you...the crime needs to stop, but you can't single out the Mexicans for that...there's just as many whites, blacks, indians, and the like that do the same stuff. It just happens that there are more Mexicans in your area. Crime is an ever present plague of capitalism...really, I don't think it has anything to do with your race or ethnicity, it has to do with your economic background. If you're poor, you'll be more likely to commit crime to get what you need. If not, you'll be less likely. Sorry if you don't agree with me, but that's what I think the answer to the problem is...fix the system...let the immigrants in if they want to come. After all, where did YOUR ancestors come from?

Everyone is always looking for a better lifestyle. America is a wonderful country and it is made up of ALL nationalities. Remember it was called the new world, and the land of opportunities? In the past people traveled here to free themselves from a forced religion and also to free from kings. Many people today also experience similar problems. Like poverty and simply just trying to make a better living. Other countries don't assist their citizens as much as the US does, and they simply want part of what we have. Honestly, we should not mind their loud music or language. Remember they are the ones who feel more uncomfortable here. They are new, lost, and are having a hard time as it is to fit in the American lifestyle. It's hard for them to adjust to a whole new lifestyle than to what they are accustomed to. Just have patience.

Our society? Since when is it yours?

Grow up and give Texas back to the rightful owners, the Mexicans!

Go to Florida! You can become a red neck!
